Results are based on data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.7fb - 1 of proton–proton collisions at s= 8 TeV , collected using the CMS detector at the LHC. For a high-mass (≳ 1TeV) resonance, the two bottom quarks coming from the Higgs boson decay are reconstructed as a single jet, which can be tagged by placing requirements on its substructure and flavour. Exclusion limits at 95 % confidence level are set on the production cross section of a narrow resonance decaying into WH, as a function of its mass. In the context of a little Higgs model, a lower limit on the W ′ mass of 1.4TeV is set. In a heavy vector triplet model that mimics the properties of composite Higgs models, a lower limit on the W ′ mass of 1.5TeV is set. In the context of this model, the results are combined with related searches to obtain a lower limit on the W ′ mass of 1.8TeV , the most restrictive to date for decays to a pair of standard model bosons. © 2016, CERN for the benefit of the CMS collaboration.</dc:description><dc:publisher>Springer Nature</dc:publisher><dc:date>2016</dc:date><dc:type>Article</dc:type><dc:identifier>https://rdlopen.rawdatalibrary.net/r/ebyu/14551</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>https://doi.org/10.1140/epjc/s10052-016-4067-z</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>1434-6044</dc:identifier><dc:language>en</dc:language><dc:relation>European Physical Journal C</dc:relation><dc:rights>info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess</dc:rights><dc:type>info:eu-repo/semantics/article</dc:type><dc:identifier>https://ebyu-rdlopen.rawdatalibrary.net/tr/items/ebyu/14551</dc:identifier></oai_dc:dc></metadata></record></GetRecord></OAI-PMH>
