While the MgO thin film showed hydrophilic behavior with contact angle of 75°, the Al2O3 film was hydrophobic with the contact angle of 117°. The best enhancement in terms of the wetting behavior was obtained from the copper oxide films. For these films, maximum static water contact angle was 164°. Results showed super-hydrophobic property and unique shape of form. Moreover, the superhydrophobic surface of CuO film exhibited higher corrosion resistance than MgO and Al2O3 films. © 2016.</dc:description><dc:publisher>Elsevier B.V.</dc:publisher><dc:date>2016</dc:date><dc:type>Article</dc:type><dc:identifier>https://rdlopen.rawdatalibrary.net/r/ebyu/15193</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>https://doi.org/10.1016/j.surfcoat.2016.03.011</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>0257-8972</dc:identifier><dc:language>en</dc:language><dc:relation>Surface and Coatings Technology</dc:relation><dc:rights>info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess</dc:rights><dc:type>info:eu-repo/semantics/article</dc:type><dc:identifier>https://ebyu-rdlopen.rawdatalibrary.net/tr/items/ebyu/15193</dc:identifier></oai_dc:dc></metadata></record></GetRecord></OAI-PMH>
