The measurements, in the region 25-40 keV, were done in a transmission geometry utilizing the Kα and Kβ X-rays from different secondary source targets (Sb, Pr, Nd and Sm) excited by the 59.5 keV γ-photons from an 241Am annular primary source. The present results constitute the first measurement for this combination of energy and elements. Also a good agreement is obtained between the experiment and theory. © 2004 Elsevier Ltd.
