Taxonomic Resurrection of Muscari sintenisii Freyn (Asparagaceae) and Lectotypification of the SpeciesEker, İsmailKandemir, AliBiyolojiIn this study, the taxonomic status of Muscari sintenisii, previously considered the synonym of Muscari aucheri (Boiss.) Baker in the Flora of Turkey, is reevaluated. Similarities and differences between close taxa have been determined by morphological studies. It is discussed that M. sintenisii differs from M. aucheri and M. armeniacum Leichtlin ex Baker in terms of flower and leaf characteristics, which have an important place in the taxonomy of the genus, and M. sintenisii is assessed to be a separate species native to Turkey.
