Çalışma 2019-2020 Eğitim-Öğretim güz yarıyılında Erzurum Atatürk Üniversitesi Kazım Karabekir Eğitim Fakültesi'nde yapılmıştır. Araştırmaya Fen bilgisi öğretmenliği 1., 2., 3. ve 4. sınıfta öğrenim görmekte olan 157 öğretmen adayı katılmıştır. Çalışmada Adıgüzel (2006) tarafından geliştirilen değerlendirme testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda, öğretmen adaylarının mitoz bölünmenin fonksiyonları, diploit ve haploit hücrelerin özellikleri ve mitoz ile mayoz hücre bölünmesinin ortak özellikleri konularında kavram yanılgılarına sahip olduğu çeşitli değişkenler göz önüne alınarak tespit edilmiş olup bu yanılgıların giderilmesi için yapılması gereken çalışmaların neler olduğu konusunda öneriler sunulmuştur.The aim of the study is to observe the studies of prospective science teachers about cell division and inheritance in science lesson, to determine whether they have misconceptions about these concepts, the reasons for the misconceptions and what needs to be done to eliminate them. The study was carried out in Erzurum Atatürk University Kazım Karabekir Education Faculty in the 2019-2020 Fall semester. 157 pre-service teachers who have been studying science, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade participated in the study. The evaluation test developed by Adıgüzel (2006) was used in the study.
