Birinci bölümde Erzincan'ın tarihi coğrafyası ve Türkiye Selçuklu Hakimiyeti öncesi durumu ele alınmıştır. Bu bölümde Erzincan'ın tarihi coğrafyası hakkında bilgi vererek coğrafyanın bir bölgenin tarihini nasıl etkilediğini ve nasıl katkı da bulunduğunu aktarmaya çalıştık. Erzincan'ın Selçuklu hakimiyeti öncesi dönemi ele alarak o bölgenin tarih açısından ehemmiyetini pekiştirmeyi amaçladık. İkinci bölümde Türkiye Selçuklu İkbal devrinde Erzincan da yaşanan siyasi olayları ele aldık. Bu çalışmada Erzincan'ın tarih boyunca sürekli el değiştirmiş olduğunu, bu şehrin her bir devirde; siyasi, yapısını ele alarak bu bölgenin şahit olduğu önemli olayları, savaşları, felaketleri derleyerek ortaya çıkarmaya çalıştık. Üçüncü bölümde ise Erzincan ilinin ekonomik hayatı, ticareti, gelirleri, çarşıları, tarımı, hayvancılığı, sanayisi ele alınmıştır. Erzincan'ın sosyal hayatı, halkı, dini inanışları hakkında bilgi vermeye çalıştık. Verimli bir ovada yer alan Erzincan yöresi, doğu-batı, kuzey-güney, istikametinde önemli bir kavşak noktasında bulunmaktadır. Bulunduğu coğrafya dolayısıyla ticari faaliyetlerde bulunulmuş şehirde refah düzeyinin artmasıyla birlikte ilim ve kültür faaliyetleri de gelişmiştir. Mengücekliler, Türkiye Selçuklu Devleti'ne kuruluş sürecinde katkı sağladıkları için beyliklerinin ilk dönemlerinde bu devlete bağlı kalmışlardır. Buna bağlı olarak hâkim oldukları Erzincan bölgesinin sosyal ve ekonomik açıdan dönemin en önemli bölgelerinden biri haline gelmesini sağlamışlardır. Beylik Selçuklu hâkimiyetine zıt düştüğü sırada bölgede istikrar bozulmuş, gerek ekonomik gerekse sosyal açıdan gerileme sürecine girmiştir. Sosyal ve siyasal bozukluklar beyliğin sonunu getirmiştir. Selçuklu hâkimiyetinde Erzincan da bozulan sosyal hayat yeniden düzenlenerek eski refah seviyesine kavuşmuştur. The first chapter covers the historical geography of Erzincan and the pre-dominance of Turkey Seljuks. In this section, we tried to inform about Erzincan's historical geography and how geography influenced the history of a region and how it contributed. We aimed to reinforce the historical significance of Erzincan's predominance of Seljuks In the second part, we discussed the political events in Erzincan during the Turkey Seljuks İkbal era. In this study, we tried to uncover that Erzincan had repeatedly changed hands throughout history, in every era of this city, political, structure, and compiling the major events, wars, disasters that this region witnessed. In the third chapter, the economic life, trade, income, markets, agriculture of the province of Erzincan, it's about livestock, industry. We tried to give information about Erzincan's social life, people and religious beliefs. The Erzincan region is located on a fertile plain, and is located at an important crossroads in the east-west and north-south direction. As the level of prosperity increases in the city, which has been engaged in commercial activities due to its geography, science and cultural activities have also improved. Mengücekliler were loyal to this state in the early stages of their declaration because they contributed to the Seljuks State of Turkey in the process of its establishment. In this way, they have made the dominated Erzincan region one of the leading regions of the era economically and socially. The region was destabilized, both economically and socially regressed, as Beylik Selçuklu opposed his rule. Social and political disorders have brought about the end of the gentleman. Erzincan, in his rule of Seljuks, has been reorganized and restored to the old welfare level.
