Materyal ve metot: Tanımlayıcı türde yürütülen araştırmanın çalışma grubunu bir eğitim araştırma hastanesinde görevli hemşireler oluşturdu; dahil etme kriterlerini karşılayan hemşireler kolayda örnekleme yöntemi ile araştırma kapsamına alındı. Veriler, "Kişisel Bilgi Formu" ve "Karşılanmayan Hemşirelik Bakım Hizmetleri Ölçeği" ile hemşirelere anket formunun yüz yüze dağıtılıp geri alınması yoluyla toplandı. Veriler SPSS programı kullanılarak, tanımlayıcı ve çıkarımsal istatiksel analizler ile değerlendirildi. Bulgular: Araştırmada hemşirelerin karşılanmayan hemşirelik bakımı gereksinimi puan ortalaması 1.61±0.69; karşılanmayan hemşirelik bakımı nedenleri puan ortalaması 3.38±0.57 olarak belirlendi. Karşılanmayan hemşirelik bakımı gereksiniminin sosyo-demografik özelliklere göre farklılık göstermediği, çalışılan birim, çalışma şekli, aylık ortalama fazla mesai, servisten, işten ve meslekten memnun olma durumuna göre farklılık gösterdiği; karşılanmayan hemşirelik bakımı nedenlerinin serviste çalışan hemşire sayısını yeterli bulma durumuna göre farklılık gösterdiği belirlendi. Sonuç: Hemşirelerin karşılanmayan hemşirelik bakım gereksiniminin düşük; karşılanmayan hemşirelik bakım nedenlerinin yüksek düzeyde olduğu; hemşirelerin daha sık ve rutin olarak gerçekleştirdikleri bakımları daha az kaçırdıkları, duygusal destek, taburculuk eğitimi gibi bakımları daha sık kaçırdıkları belirlendi.Aim: This research was conducted to determine the missed nursing care needs of nurses working in a training and research hospital, the reasons for missed care, and the factors affecting it. Material and method: The study group of the descriptive study consisted of nurses working in a training and research hospital; nurses who met the inclusion criteria were included in the study by convenience sampling method. The data were collected through the "personal information form" and the "missed nursing care scale" and the face to face distribution and collection of the questionnaire form to the nurses. Data were analyzed using SPSS software with descriptive and inferential statistical analyses. Results: The average score of nurses' missed nursing care needs in the study was determined as 1.61±0.69, and the average score of the reasons for missed nursing care was 3.38±0.57. It was found that missed nursing care needs did not differ according to socio-demographic characteristics but varied according to the unit worked, work style, monthly average overtime, satisfaction with the unit, job, and profession. The reasons for missed nursing care varied according to the perception of the adequacy of the number of nurses working in the unit.
