Dr. Selma TaşkesenBu araştırmada ortaokul öğrencilerinin vatanseverlik kavramına ilişkin metaforlarının sanatsal çalışmalarına nasıl yansıdığının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan olgubilim (fenomenoloji) ile desenlenmiştir. Çalışma grubunu 2024-2025 Eğitim Öğretim Yılı'nda Doğu Anadolu Bölgesi'nde öğrenim gören 100 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada, amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden kolay ulaşılabilir durum örneklemesi kullanılmıştır. Veri toplama araçları, öğrencilerin metaforlarını belirlemek amacıyla metafor yoluyla veri toplama formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın ikinci verileri ise öğrencilerin sanatsal çalışmaları ve çalışmaları için yazdıkları hikayelerden oluşmaktadır. Bu şekilde araştırmanın ikinci verilerine ulaşılmış ve araştırmanın verileri içerik analizi yöntemi ile çözümlenmiştir. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre öğrencilerin vatanseverlik kavramına ait 16 adet metafor oluşturduğu, ve bu kavramı şehit, Atatürk, asker, sevmek, mutluluk, hayatın anlamı, vatanı korumak, fedakârlık, başarı, bayrak, cesaret vb. metaforlar ile ifade etmişlerdir. Bu kavramlar dört kategori altında toplanmıştır. Öğrencilerin sanatsal çalışmaları ile metaforları incelendiğinde yazdıkları ve çizdiklerinin birbiriyle örtüştüğü tespit edilmiştir.This study aims to examine how secondary school students' metaphors regarding the concept of patriotism are reflected in their artistic works. The research was designed with phenomenology, one of the qualitative research methods. The study group consists of 100 students studying in the Eastern Anatolia Region in the 2024-2025 Academic Year. In the research, easily accessible case sampling, one of the purposeful sampling methods, was used. The data collection tools were the metaphor data collection form used to determine the students' metaphors. The second data of the research consists of the students' artistic works and the stories they wrote for their works. In this way, the second data of the research was reached and the data of the research was analyzed with the content analysis method. According to the results of the research, the students created 16 metaphors belonging to the concept of patriotism, and they expressed this concept with metaphors such as martyr, Atatürk, soldier, love, happiness, the meaning of life, protecting the homeland, sacrifice, success, flag, courage, etc. These concepts were grouped under four categories.
