Sevinç Çokum'un Ağustos Başağı romanında zarf tümleçleriAdverbial complements in Sevinç Çokum's novel Ağustos BaşağıSümeyye Gamze ÇelikProf. Dr. Turgut BaydarBu çalışmada Sevinç Çokum'un Ağustos Başağı isimli eserinde var olan zarf tümleci yapılarının tespiti amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma bir eser üzerinde gerçekleştirildiği için çalışmanın yöntemi nitel araştırma desenlerinden doküman analizi olarak seçilmiştir. Çalışmada Sevinç Çokum'un Ağustos Başağı isimli eseri üzerinden Türkiye Türkçesi söz diziminin ögelerinden biri olan zarf tümleci kavramının belirlenmesi ve bu ögeyi teşkil eden yapıların tespiti amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada ilk olarak eserdeki cümleler tek tek incelenerek zarf tümleci görevindeki yapılar tespit edilmiştir. Tespiti yapılan yapılar öncelikle türlerine göre beş başlık (zaman, durum, miktar, yön ve soru) altında sınıflandırılmıştır. Ardından türleri meydana getiren yapılar kendi içerisinde ayrıca tasnif edilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar tablolar ve şekiller biçiminde sunularak değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmada toplamda 2837 adet zarf tümleci tespit edilmiştir. %57,27'lik oranla durum bildirme zarf türü en fazla eserde öne çıkan zarf türü olmuştur. %1,86'lık oranla soru zarfı eserde en az öne çıkan zarf türü olmuştur. "neden" ve "niye" sözcüleri en fazla "nasıl" sözcüğü ise en az kullanılan soru zarfları olmuştur. Bu çalışmada Türkçenin anlatım gücüne sağladığı imkân bakımından zarf tümleçlerinin söz diziminde ne kadar mühim bir yer tuttuğu bilimsel açıdan ifade edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Söz diziminin araştırma konusu olan cümle ögelerine ve özelde zarf tümlecine yönelik bilimsel çalışmalar arttıkça konu daha da iyi anlaşılacaktır.This study aims to identify the adverbial phrases in Sevinç Çokum's novel Ağustos Başağı. Since the research is based on a single literary study, the document analysis method, one of the qualitative research designs, was chosen. The study focuses on determining the concept of adverbial phrases, a syntactic element in Turkish, and identifying the structures that form them within the novel. First, each sentence in the novel was examined individually to identify adverbial structures. These structures were then categorized into five main types: time, manner, quantity, direction, and interrogative adverbs. Each category was further classified based on its subtypes. The findings were presented and analyzed using tables and figures. A total of 2,837 adverbial phrases were identified in the study. Among them, manner adverbs were the most prevalent, constituting 57.27% of the total. Interrogative adverbs, on the other hand, were the least common, making up only 1.86%. Among interrogative adverbs, neden and niye were the most frequently used, while nasıl was the least used. This study highlights the significance of adverbial phrases in Turkish syntax in terms of their contribution to the expressive power of the language.
