This study aims to analysis the linguistics ofPunctuation of “The İstiklal Marşı” (The IndependenceMarch) that is the Turkish National Anthem. In thiswork, it’s emphasized that all punctuation marks whichwere used in the anthem text by its Poet, contribute themeaning of text, or affect on style of speaking; besides,suitable or wrongly usages. In this work, it’s tried toanswer some questions that’s are about the usages ofpunctuation marks in this text: The punctuation of thistext whether to be altered or not by considering themeaning, or style of speaking, also intonation. In thiswork it’s used the descriptive method, and it’s tried toanalysis the linguistics of The Poet’s usages ofpunctuations in this text. It is tried to be ascertained thatthe Poet’s punctuation marks and alterations which weremade by Hasan EREN, are compared; and which one ofthis was used for meaning or intonation, and who is usedwhat for? As a result of the analysis it can be said thatthe punctuation marks were used by The Poet formeaning more than intonation.

This study discusses inaccuracy of address-writing style in Turkish, and offers some suggestions correcting inaccuracies, and also best way to make up addresses. It consists of three parts. In the first part it is evaluated some works, manuals, curriculums, etc. address-writing styles in Turkish, and it is compared with other languages’ styles. It takes part that some problems in Turkish address-writing styles in the second part. The third part involves some suggestions about correct address-writing style or best way to address-writing.
