Yılmaz, Betül Kalkan; Meydan, Begüm Naz
EVALUATION OF SEXUAL LİFE ACCORDİNG TO PREGNANCY TRİMESTERS ABSTRACT Aim: Changes that occur during pregnancy physiologicaly; affects the couple's sexual life. Sexuality, which is an important part of health, is disrupted during pregnancy due to some beliefs and taboos. With the strong influence of hormones, changes in sexual desire and arousal are inevitable. The aim of the study was to evaluate the sexual function levels of pregnant women according to trimester periods. Materials and Methods: The study was conducted prospectively; Those who applied to the Gynecology and Obstetrics polyclinic in between November 2023 and December 2023; Women whose pregnancy was between 6 and 40 weeks were included. After obtaining consent from patients who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the 'Female Sexual Function Index-FSFI' questionnaire was administered face to face and age, parity, educational status, employment status, and body mass indexes were calculated and recorded. Results: A total of 198 pregnant women between 6-40 weeks of gestation who applied to the gynaecology and obstetrics outpatient clinic accepted to participate in the study. Of the pregnant women who participated in the study, 64 were in the first trimester, 64 were in the second trimester and 67 were in the third trimester. When the groups were compared, 93.75% of the first trimester pregnant women, 93.75% of the second trimester pregnant women and 98.5% of the third trimester pregnant women were diagnosed with sexual dysfunction and the rate of sexual dysfunction was significantly higher in the third trimester. Conclusion: One of the important factors affecting the quality of life and relationship of women is to have a healthy sexual life. During pregnancy, interest in sexual intercourse decreases in most women as pregnancy progresses. This study also showed that sexual function problems of women increase in the first and last trimesters of pregnancy; sexual desire and satisfaction with sexuality, arousal and orgasm decreases. Key words: pregnancy, sexual function, trimester

Göçer, Şemsinnur; Polat, Tuncay; Arpacı, Fikret
Purpose: This study aimed to examine the behaviors of university students regarding their carbon footprint in their daily lives in the areas of home, shopping, transportation and food consumption. Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted at Yozgat Bozok University in the Spring Semester of the 2022-2023 Academic Year. The sample of the study consisted of 164 students studying at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Engineering and Communication at Yozgat Bozok University in the spring semester of the 2022-2023 academic year. The research data were obtained online with the "Personal Information Form" and "Carbon Footprint Awareness Survey". Numbers and percentages were used in the analysis of demographic data, and the Chi-Square test was used in comparative analyses. The significance level in statistical tests was accepted as p

Gür, Volkan; Kockara, Nizamettin; Yapici, Furkan; Subaşı, Özay; Karaköse, Reşit
Objective: We aimed to share our radiological and clinical results with a mid-term follow-up on patella fractures treated with tension band wiring (TBW). Methods: Patients surgically treated with TBW for AO type 34-A1/C1/C2/C3 patella fractures between January 2013 and June 2021 at a level 1 trauma center were included. For radiological evaluation, radiographs obtained at the routine follow-up were analyzed for complications (such as nonunion, malunion, loss of reduction, malreduction, patella baja, elongated patella, implant failure), Insall-Salvati Index (ISI), and Patellar Morphology Ratio (PMR). The Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Score (KOOS) was utilized for functional evaluation, which includes five subscales: pain, symptoms, activities of daily living (ADL), sports/recreation, and quality of life (QOL). The clinical assessment also included the range of motion (ROM), thigh circumference (TC), and complications such as implant irritation (II). Results: This study reviewed 42 eligible patients (10 females, 32 males) with a mean age of 42.6 ± 16.1 years and a mean follow-up of 35.4 ± 24.1 months. There were 28 patients (66.7%) with at least one complication (II: 66.7%, flexion deficit: 61.9%, malunion: 40.5%, elongated patella/patella baja: 16.7%). The reoperation rate was high at 69.1% due to the high implant removal rate for II. There were statistically significant differences between injured (I) and uninjured contralateral healthy knees (UI) in terms of mean KOOS subscale scores (symptoms: I: 72.3, UI: 89.8; pain: I: 70.4, UI: 89.4; ADL : I: 72.1, UI: 90; sports: I: 61.4, UI: 84.8; QOL: I: 67.9, UI: 86.2), mean flexion degrees (I: 126.2°, UI: 135.4°), mean ISI (I: 0.9, UI: 1.0), and mean PMR (I: 1.5, UI: 1.4) (all p < 0.01). There was no difference in mean extension degrees and TC (all p > 0.05). All fractures achieved union. Conclusion: Firstly, the mid-term clinical results of patellar fractures treated with TBW were significantly worse than the contralateral healthy knee; secondly, implant irritation, knee flexion deficit, malunion, and patella baja were the significant complications, and efforts should be made to manage these problems; thirdly, patellar fractures are susceptible to developing interesting cases of the elongated patella.

Ceylan, Mustafa; Yalcin, Ahmet
Purpose: Greater and lesser occipital nerve blockade (GONB/LONB) using local anesthetics with and without corticosteroids, andsupraorbital and supratrochlear nerve blockade (STNB) using local anesthetics and trigger point injections (TPI) are commonlyemployed for the treatment of primary and secondary headache disorders. In this study, we aimed to investigate the efficiencyof peripheral nerve blockade in the treatment of chronic tension-type headache.Patients and Methods: A total of 174 patients who received GONB and/or STNB with or without TPI between June 2013 andOctober 2016 were included in this study. The patients were divided into three groups as GONB, GONB+STNB, GONB+STNB+TPIand followed up for four weeks with VAS score. In the GONB alone group, triamcinolone and bupivacaine were used, and in theremaining two groups, only bupivacaine was administered. Results: The mean age of the study population was 43.2±7.2 years. Female dominance was present. There were no statisticallysignificant differences between the three groups regarding age and gender. Furthermore, headache frequency and VAS scoresof the groups did not significantly differ before treatment; however, significant differences were observed (in both) betweenand within groups after treatment. The response rates were significantly higher (50% and 75%) in the last treatment group. Conclusion: In this study, TPI combined with GONB and STNB was superior to GONB+STNB and GONB alone regarding headachefrequency. We also found that in all groups, post-treatment VAS scores and headache frequency were lower compared to pretreatment values.
