Objective: This study aimed to determine the relationship between\rnutritional behaviours and sleep quality in individuals applying to\rprimary health care organization.\rMaterials and Methods: This descriptive and correlational study was\rconducted in September-November 2018 with individuals who applied\rto three primary care clinics in central Erzincan for various reasons\r(s=316). Data was collected using a descriptive questionnaire, the\rnutrition sub-dimension of the Healthy Lifestyle Behaviour Scale and the\rPittsburgh Sleep Quality Index. The height and weight of the individuals\rwere measured.\rResults: It was determined that 63.6% of the individuals had poor\rsleep quality and the average score of the nutrition sub-dimension\rwas determined to be 16.64±4.41. A slightly negative and significant\rrelationship was found between the total score averages of the\rPittsburgh Sleep Quality Index and nutrition sub-dimension (r=-0.196\r[95% confidence interval: (-0.297)-(-0.085)].\rConclusion: In this study, more than half of the individuals had low\rlevels of sleep quality and above-average levels of healthy nutritional\rbehaviour. It is recommended for healthcare professionals to conduct\rtraining programs towards preventing the factors that cause poor sleep\rquality and unhealthy nutritional behaviour in individuals.
