In this study it is aimed to determine that if there is a meaningful difference between attitudes towards peace and current World problems of Social studies teacher candidates. There has been 148 women (51,6%) and 158 men (48,4%), totally 306 social studies teacher candidates from Social Science Teaching Department, Education Faculty, Erzincan University. Correlational research method is used in the study. Datas are examined by the use of SPSS 20.0 statistical programme, Mann-Whitney U test and Spearman Brown rank correlation coefficient. As a data collection tool, the scale of attitudes towards peace developed by Eryilmaz (2008) and the scale of attitudes towards current world problems developed by Kilicoglu, Karakus and Ozturk (2012) are used. At the end of the analysis, a positively meaningful relation has been found between the attitudes towards peace and current World problems of social studies teacher candidates. However there is no meaningful difference between the attitudes towards peace and current World problems of Social studies teacher candidates in terms of gender.

The purpose of this study is to carry out the translation and adjustment of school burnout inventory developed by Salmela-Aro, Kiuru, Leskinen and Nurmi and to investigate the psychometry characteristics of the scale. The scale, in its original form, is 5 point likert scale type tool consisting of 9 items in there dimensions. The study group of the study is 570 students who are studying at primary and secondary schools located in Erzurum city center. After the interpretation process, in order to achieve the language validty, the opinions of experts have been sought. For the construct validity,, exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis have been carried out. It is ascertained that there is a three dimensional structure accounting for %66.858 of total variance. The agreement of this three dimensional structure has been tested with confirmatory factor analysis, and foud out that the fit index are in good degree(RMSEA=.042, RMR= .013, NFI=.90, CFI=.96, IFI=.97, RFI=.92, AGFI=.90, GFI=.92. These sub-dimensions are emotional burnout, indifference and the feeling of low individual success. As a result of the reliability analysis of the scale, the internal consistency parameter has been found to be a=.75, and the reliability of test-retest as a=. 80. In accordance with the findings acquired, it can be said that school burnout inventory is a scale that has reliability and validity

This study was carried on to determine the effect of vocational group counseling program on the vocational competence levels of the 8th grade students. The study was conducted on 128 students from Erzurum Kocatepe Elementary School in 2011-2012 education years. Vocational Competence Scale developed by Bozgeyikli (2004) was used to gather data in the study. Volunteer 30 students that got lower marks from the scale randomly divided into experimental and control groups. Each group is formed of 15 students. Group counseling program was applied on the experimental group for 8 weeks to improve vocational competence levels of the students. Any operation was not carried on control group. t test for unrelated sample and One-Factor ANCOVA for related sample were used in the analysis of the data. The data was analyzed by using SPSS 20.00. According to the results of the study, it is determined that the vocational competence levels of the students participated in the vocational competence counseling program increased meaningfully compared to the control group and their pre-experimental situation. Besides, it is determined that this change occurred independently from the age, sex and socio-economic level variables.
