20. Yüzyıl'da Batum Uleması (Meşihat Arşivine Göre)

Bu çalışmada 19. ve 20. yüzyıl tarih aralığında, Batum'da doğan ulema biyografileri üzerinden gidilerek bu dönemde Osmanlı Devleti'ndeki eğitim ve öğretim sistemi incelenmiştir. Bu ulemanın biyografilerinde doğum tarihleri ve doğum yerleri, aileleri, aldıkları eğitimler, ders aldıkları medreseler ve hocalar, bulundukları memuriyetler, bu memuriyetlerde aldıkları maaş miktarları hakkında bilgi tespiti yapılmıştır. Ayrıca ulemaya ait belgelerden kimlik bilgileri, eşkâlleri ve ikamet adreslerine dair bilgiler ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Bu yönüyle Osmanlı bürokrasisi ve sosyal hayatına dair birtakım çıkarımlar yapılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Osmanlı Devleti sınırları içerisinde yer alan Batum'da doğmuş ancak Batum'un elden çıkmasıyla birlikte devletin sınırları içerisine göç etmek zorunda kalmış son dönem Batum ulemasının biyografilerini ele almaktır. Böylelikle konuyla ilgilenen çalışmacılara yardımcı olmak, alan literatürüne ve bilim dünyasına katkı sağlamak hedeflenmektedir. Bununla birlikte, Osmanlı Devleti'nde dönemin ilmiye sınıfı ve devletin siyasi, iktisadi, sosyal, eğitim ve kültürel yapısı detaylarıyla ortaya konulmuştur.

In this study, the education system in the Ottoman State in the 19th and 20th centuries was investigated over the biographies of the scholars who were born in Batum. In these scholars' biographies, their dates of birth and places of birth, families, education, schools, services and salaries were analyzed. Besides, their identity information, appearance and address information were found out from their documents. From this aspect, some inferences were made about the Ottoman bureaucracy and social life. The purpose of this study is to examine the biographies of Batum scholars, who were born in Batum, which was in the borders of the Ottoman State, and who had to migrate to the borders of the State when Batum was captured by enemies. Thus, the objectives are to help the researchers studying on this topic and to contribute to the field literature and science. In addition to this, the scholars at that period in the Ottoman State and the political, economic, social, educational and cultural structure of the state were reported in details.
