Sekizinci sınıf öğrencilerinin matematik dersi eğim konusundaki hata ve kavram yanılgılarının incelenmesi

Bu araştırmanın amacı sekizinci sınıf öğrencilerinin matematik öğretim programında yer alan "Eğim" konusundaki hata ve kavram yanılgılarını incelemek ve çözüm önerileri sunmaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda Erzurum ili merkez Palandöken ilçesinde bulunan 4 farklı devlet okulunun 8. sınıfında öğrenim gören 165 öğrenci araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmuştur. Örneklemi oluşturan öğrenciler çalışmanın uygulandığı gün okulda hazır bulunan tüm öğrencilerdir. Öğrencilerin eğim konusundaki hata ve kavram yanılgılarını belirlemek amacıyla kazanımlara uygun 7 adet çoktan seçmeli soru ile 8 adet açık uçlu sorudan oluşan "Eğim Testi" oluşturulmuştur. Eğim testi oluşturulurken uzman görüşlerine başvurulmuş ardından pilot uygulama yapılarak testin geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Araştırmada öğrencilere "Eğim Testi" uygulanmış ve bu test veri toplama aracı olarak kullanılmıştır. Araştırma yapılırken betimsel tarama yöntemi ile veriler elde edilip gerekli görülen öğrencilerle görüşme yapıldığından araştırmanın yöntemi karma yöntemdir. Elde edilen veriler, betimsel analiz ve içerik analizi yapılarak incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucuna göre öğrencilerin sahip oldukları hata ve kavram yanılgıları incelenmiş, sonuçlar ortaya konulduktan sonra çeşitli önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

The aim of this research is to investigate the mistakes and misconceptions of 8th grade students about "Slope in mathematics curriculum and to offer solutions. For this purpose, 165 students in 8th grade of 4 different public schools in Palandöken district of Erzurum formed the sample of the study. The students who make up the sample are all students present at the school on the day of the study. In order to determine the students' error and misconceptions about the slope, the Slope Test consisting of 7 multiple-choice questions and 8 open-ended questions suitable for the gains was created. While preparing the "Slope test", expert opinions were applied and after the pilot application, validity and reliability studies of the test were conducted. In this research, "Slope Test" was applied to the students and this test was used as a data collection tool. The descriptive scanning method was used to obtain data and interviews were conducted with the students who were deemed necessary. The obtained data were analyzed by descriptive analysis and content analysis.
