Şemsettin Günaltay'ın ahlak anlayışı

Bu tez Osmanlı Devleti'nin son dönem önemli düşünürlerinden Mehmet Şemsettin Günaltay'ın ahlak anlayışını incelemek amacıyla yazılmıştır. Osmanlı'nın ve İslam Dünyasının düşünsel krizinin ortasında dünyaya gelen Günaltay, girmiş olduğu mücadele ile Batı'ya karşı milli ve yerli olanın verebileceği cevapları düşünmüş, kendi bakış açısından çözümler üretmiştir. Çalışmamızda ahlakın Doğu'da ve Batı'daki temelleri üzerinden durulmuş, ahlak anlayışının zaman içerisindeki değişimi ele alınmıştır. Ayrıca ahlakın din, değer ve toplum üzerindeki etkileri incelenmiştir. Günaltay'ın dinsel, tarihsel, bireysel, toplumsal, anlayışı ile dinin toplumdaki rolü, aydın zümrelerin vazifeleri ile devletin eğitim anlayışının nasıl olması gerektiği üzerine olan düşünceleri de çalışmamızda ayrıntılı bir şekilde ele alınmıştır.

This thesis is written to examine the ethical understanding of Mehmet Şemsettin Günaltay, one of the important thinkers of the late Ottoman Empire. Born into the intellectual crisis of the Ottoman and Islamic world, Günaltay thought about the answers that the National and local could give to the West with his struggle and produced solutions from his perspective. In our study, the foundations of ethics in the East and the West have been discussed, and the change in the understanding of ethics over time has been addressed. In addition, the effects of ethics on religion, values, and society have been examined. Günaltay's religious, historical, individual, social, and understanding of the role of religion in society, the duties of the intellectual elites, and the state's understanding of education have been examined.
