Facile electrochemical-assisted synthesis of TiO2 nanotubes and their role in Schottky barrier diode applications

ArticleAçık Erişim

Özet

Highly ordered TiO2 nanotube arrays were fabricated by electrochemical anodization of Ti foils. XRD measurements confirmed that properties of nanotube arrays belong to mixed anatase and rutile TiO2 phases with tetragonal crystal structure. Inter planar distance values of TiO2 nanotubes were determined with respect to Miller indices and varied from 0.16695 to 0.35339 nm. Furthermore, a Schottky diode made by Ag/TiO2 nano tube arrays/Ti was fabricated and current-voltage (I-V) characteristics of the device were analyzed at room temperature to investigate device performance. Ideality factor and barrier height have been determined as 2.39 and 0.92 eV, respectively. Results have been discussed in details. © 2017 Elsevier Ltd
