Özet

Objective: In this study, we aimed to evaluate the obstetric and\rperinatal outcomes of a single value positivity in the 100 gram\rOral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT).\rMaterials and Methods: 80 patients with single positivity of 100\rgr OGTT, and 122 control patients with normal fasting blood\rglucose and 50 gr OGTT were included to this retrospective\rstudy. Macrosomia, primary cesarean section, polyhydramnios,\r1st and 5th minute apgar scores and hospitalization rates to the\rneonatal intensive care unit were compared between the groups.\rResults: While the rate of macrosomia was 18.8% in the patient\rgroup, it was 9% in the control group, the difference was statis-\rtically significant (P = .04). While the rate of primary cesarean\rsection was 22.5% in the patient group, it was 11.5% in the\rcontrol group (P = .03). While polyhydramnios was seen in 7.5%\rof the patient group, it was seen in 1.6% of the control group, the\rdifference was statistically significant (P = .03). The number of\rfetuses with a 1st minute apgar score <5 was 7 in the patient\rgroup and 8 in the control group, the difference was not statis-\rtically significant (P = .56). The number of fetuses with a -\r5th minute apgar score <7 was 5 in the patient group and 2 in\rthe control group, the difference was not statistically significant\r(P = .08). The rate of hospitalization to the neonatal care unit was\r12.5% in the patient group and 4.1% in the control group ( P =\r.02).\rConclusion: 100 gr. OGTT single value positivity is associated\rwith increased maternal and fetal complications.
