Determination of Plant Material Used in Erzincan City Open Green Spaces

The open green spaces belong to public institutions and organisations and private property in the city center of Erzincan were examined and plant material except native species in parks and gardens in the city were assessed. Plants in the study area counted and species, usage areas, usage purposes, usage densities, and seasonal changes of plants be assessed in terms of plant design. As a result of field studies including of 46 broad-leaved plant species belonging to 23 families, 18 coniferae belonging to 3 families, 34 shrub and bush plant belonging to 21 families, 9 plant species belonging to 7 families totally 107 plant taxa were determined that used in the research area. In this study, the importance and the place of open green spaces in human life examined and plants that used in Erzincan city opeen green spaces were determined in terms of plant design
