Techniques of Sex-selected Calf Production in Dairy Cattle Breeding

Özet
Information about sex-selected calf production techniques in dairy breeding has been given in this review. Dairy stocker producers prefer female calf in order to expand and renew their herd whereas feedlot raisers prefer male calf. It has been put more attention on facilities and techniques that facilitate the fertilization between designed sex cells to control upcoming calf due to economic reasons. For this purpose, researchers have continued to carry out study to utilize sperm technology in animal breeding.
