Local People's Opinions about The Protection and The Use of Cultural Heritage Context of Sustainable Tourism in Konya

In that study; the opinions of the local people about perception of cultural heritage, protection of cultural heritage and use for tourism was investigated. This study have been made in March-May 2018 with 483 living people in the center of Konya province with convenience sampling method. The questionnaire developed by Okuyucu (2011) used in this study to learn opinions of the local peoples about this topic. According to the obtained results; the majority of local people living in the center of Konya province perceive religious buildings, traditional houses, folk dances, local dishes and handicrafts as cultural heritage properties. In addition that findings; people living city center in Konya province think that cultural heritage can be preserved with the help of tourism, they evaluate the development of tourism positively in the center of the province and will support tourism activities.
