We see that adjective-verbs, also called participal, are introduced as derivative words in many literary sources. It has been claimed that they change both their meanings and kinds through not their usages but their suffixes. However, it appears logical that the reasons for making the verbs participle are not these suffixes, but their usages and context. In this study, we present a discussion in this direction.

When it is carefully observed it is seen that thetranslation is a metamorphosis, that is, a sort ofexchanging. A translator exchanges a source lanuage’sphonemes with a target language’s phonemes to move themessage in the source language’s codes. This transactionis basic of translation. In the end of this transaction analteration occurs. Together with this alteration themessage or meaning is animated through the targetlanguage’s codes. When we look into the translation’sactivity or translated books and speechs we see that alanguage’s appearance is totally exchanging. When welook into outcome of a translation’s process we can seethat source language’s phoneme and its syntax systemshave been changed. Because of this, translation looklikes metamorphosis which occurs in nature. In thisstudy you can find different translation’s definition thatis connected with this perpective.

Farklı adlar altında sınıflandırıldığı için ayrı anlamlarmış gibi gözüken yan anlam, mecaz anlam, deyimsel anlam; terim, kinaye, istiare, mecaz-ı mürsel ve argo gibi anlamlar aslında mecaz anlamlı kelimelerdir. Çünkü bu kelimeler mecazın tanı-mıyla bire bir örtüşmektedirler. Ancak bu terimlerin farklı isimler altında sınıflandı-rılmalarının sebebi, yan anlamın, kinayenin, mecaz-ı mürselin, istiarenin, argonun, terim ve deyimsel ifadelerin mecazdan farklı bir anlam oluşlarında değil, bazılarının mecazlaşarak kelimelere ad oluşunda, bazılarının benzetme ilgisiyle mecazlaşmasın-da, bazılarının farklı alan ve çevreler için kullanılmasında ve bazılarının da biçim açısından farklılıklar arz etmesindedir. Dolayısıyla biz bu makalemizde farklı anlammış gibi algılanan bu anlamla-rın önce mecaz anlamlı olduklarını daha sonra da başka ayırt edici özelliklerinden dolayı onların başka adlarla anıldığını ortaya koymuş olduk.
