Common Fixed Point Results for General Contractive Inequality of Integral Type on GMMS

Manav, Nesrin; Turkoglu, Duran; Abdeljawad, Thabet

We prove common fixed point theorems for mappings satisfying a geixral contra:live inequality of integral type for gcicrali/cd nrtric spaces. Our results extend of th? theorem of Branciari (2002) constitutionally and wc preside son: Examples in support of our results.

Common fixed point results on modular F-metric spaces

    Manav, Nesrin; Turkoglu, Duran

Jleli and Samet[1] introduced a new concept, named a F-metric space, as a generalization of the notion of metric space. We define new generalization of modular metric space as modular F-metric space. We compare the topology produced by modular metric and by modular F-metric, then cover some useful properties of this topology for fixed point theorems for future studies. In the end, we prove Banach contraction principle for modular F-metric space.

L X-ray relative intensity ratios of uranium, lead, hafnium and samarium

Akkuş, Tuba; Durdaǧl, Sevil; Yllmaz, Demet; Şahin, Yusuf

In this study the L shell X-ray relative intensities (ILl/ILγ,ILα/ILγandILβ/ILγ) for uranium, lead, hafnium and samarium have been measured for several scattering angles (85°, 95°, 105°, 115°, 125°and 135°) at 59.54 keV photon energy by using a Si(Li) detector which has a resolution of 160 eV at 5.9 keV. In previous studies, the Lγ X-rays were usually found independ on the scattering angles, therefore we found reasonable to give the ratio to the Lγ X-rays.

Buildup factors and kerma for Al2O3 and SiO2 in the energy range 0.015-15MeV

Yllmaz, Demet; Allm, Bünyamin; Akkuş, Tuba; Güzeldir, Betül

The energy absorption buildup factors (EABF) have been calculated for some thermoluminescent dosimetric materials (Al2O3 and SiO2) in the energy region 0.015-15MeV up to the penetration depth of 40 mean free paths (mfp). Also, kerma relative to air has been determined for these materials. It is observed that the energy absorption buildup factors and kerma relative to air depend on the photon energy and chemical content. Also, the energy absorption build up factors are found the highest in intermediate energy whereas the lowest in low- as well as high energies.

Effect of thickness on electrical properties of SILAR deposited SnS thin films

Akaltun, Yunus; Astam, Aykut; Cerhan, Asena; Çayir, Tuba

Tin sulfide (SnS) thin films of different thickness were prepared on glass substrates by successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction (SILAR) method at room temperature using tin (II) chloride and sodium sulfide aqueous solutions. The thicknesses of the films were determined using spectroscopic ellipsometry measurements and found to be 47.2, 65.8, 111.0, and 128.7nm for 20, 25, 30 and 35 deposition cycles respectively. The electrical properties of the films were investigated using d.c. two-point probe method at room temperature and the results showed that the resistivity was found to decrease with increasing film thickness.

The removal of COD and color by Fenton oxidation from leachate of Erzurum municipal solid waste landfill

Kocakaplan, Nihal; Ertugay, Neşe; Malkoç, Emine

The optimal conditions for treatment of leachate were determined as pH = 2.5, Fe2+= 2mg/L and H2O2= 100mg/L. Under the optimal conditions, approximately 90% color (at 620nm), 84% color (at 525nm), 74% color (at 436nm) and 47.8% COD removal efficiency from leachate were achieved after 20min of reaction. Depending on the results obtained experiments, Fenton process has been used successfully in removal of COD and color in landfill leachate.

The Vranceanu connections on the Riemannian (1, 1)-tensor bundle

Altunbas, Murat; Gezer, Aydin; Dogan, Elanur

The present paper deals with Vranceanu connections associated with the Levi-Civita connections of the Sasaki type and Cheeger-Gromoll type metrics on the (1, 1)-tensor bundle. Because of coinciding the Vranceanu connection associated with the Levi-Civita connection of the Sasaki type metric and the horizontal lift of the Levi-Civita connection of the base manifold's metric, we focus especially on the Vranceanu connection associated with the Levi-Civita connection of the Cheeger-Gromoll type metric.

Inverse problem for the quadratic pencil of the Sturm-Liouville equations

Panakhov, Etibar S.; Tas, Kezban; Sat, Murat

In this paper, we study the wellposedness of the inverse problem for the quadratic pencil of the Sturm-Liouville equation (diffusion operator). We will consider two different problem for diffusion operator. By using the Mizutani's method, we will prove that if the spectral characteristics of this problems are close to each other, then the difference between their potential functions is sufficiently small in a certain sense.

Inverse problem for diffusion operators on the finite interval

    Sat, Murat; Panakhov, Etibar S.

In this paper, we discuss the inverse problem for diffusion operators on the finite interval [0,π]. For a fixed n (n=0,1,2,), we show that the potential function q(x) can be uniquely determined by the spectral sets λn(q,Hk)k=1+z.

Indoor and outdoor gamma dose measurements for specific counties of Trabzon-Turkey

Kurnaz, Asli; Küçükömeroǧlu, B.; Okumuşoǧlu, N.T.; Yeşilbaǧ, Y.Ö.

In this study, it was determined environmental gamma radiation dose rate for some counties of Trabzon-Turkey. A detailed ambient gamma dose measurement has been performed in the seven counties of Trabzon, using a portable environmental survey meter (NaI detector, INSPECTOR 1000). The measurements were performed indoor and outdoor of buildings and also at each spot, a reading was taken at 1 m above ground level. The dose rates varied from 42.69 nGy/h and 140.91 nGy/h for indoor gamma dose and 27.84 nGy/h and 121.80 nGy/h for outdoor gamma dose. Average indoor and outdoor gamma dose rates were ascertained to be 71.05 nGy/h and 60.20 nGy/h, respectively. The annual effective doses were calculated from indoor and outdoor gamma doses to be 348.56 μSv/y and 73.83 μSv/y, respectively.
