Türe, Zeliha Gul; Yalçin, Pala; Gültekin, Burak
This research investigates the impact of augmented reality technology on students' misconceptions in the Sound and Its Properties unit. In this study, an augmented reality learning material called SesAR, encompassing the learning outcomes of the 6th grade Science course unit Sound and Its Properties, was developed and utilized as the research material. The study group consisted of 155 sixth-grade students enrolled in two public schools located in the central district of a medium-sized province in the Marmara Region. The research was conducted using a quasi-experimental design. During the implementation, the experimental group used the augmented reality materials, while the control group utilized the existing instructional materials, such as the textbook, videos, animations, and similar resources. Data for the study were collected using a conceptual understanding test. Mixed measures ANOVA and descriptive statistics were used in data analysis. The research findings indicated that students in the experimental group, who used augmented reality materials, exhibited fewer misconceptions compared to those in the control group. Additionally, it was found that the formation rate of new misconceptions was lower and the rate of elimination of misconceptions was higher in the experimental group.

Meral, Meryem; Altun Yalcin, Sema
This study aimed to determine the effect of educational robotics applications, integrated with collaborative learning and entrepreneurship, on middle school students' achievement-oriented motivation. An explanatory-sequential mixed-methods design was employed in the research. The study sample included 40 sixth-grade students enrolled in a public middle school. The study opted for a single-group pretest-posttest design for the quantitative stage, while the semi-structured interviews were conducted to delve into qualitative insights. During the eight-week intervention, students received educational robotics training. The students were administered the Achievement-Oriented Motivation Scale before and after the training. The data obtained from the scales were analyzed using paired samples t-test. As a result of this analysis, it was found that the student's achievement-oriented motivation increased significantly at a statistical level following the intervention. It was also observed that students gradually developed belief and enthusiasm toward overcoming challenges as a result of the applications.

Ertane Bas, Ozge; Özturan Sagirli, Meryem
The aim of this research was to investigate the problem-themed articles carried out in the field of mathematics in our country in terms of their structures, issue trends and reached results. The research was designed based on the descriptive content analysis method. 3160 volumes of 112 journals and 213 articles were determined in our country within the scope of the research. The obtained data were subjected to descriptive analysis and content analysis according to the purpose of sub-problems. At the end of the analyses, it was determined that the first problem-themed article in the field of mathematics in our country was conducted in 1984 and the number of the articles have started to increase since 2002. It was also noticed that the most common applied method in the articles was the case study, which most of the researches were carried in secondary school level, the achievement tests were the most used data collection tool and descriptive analyses were frequently used. It was observed that the articles were mostly on problem solving and other topics were problem posing the PBL and the structure of problem in order. Considering the reviewed articles, some results that can be referred were that the experimental practices played an active role in increasing the problem-solving achievement and the achievement of the participants in non-routine problems was low. The participants also make mistakes in problem solving with several reasons such as the lack of knowledge, inability to transfer their knowledge into problem in addition that they mostly cannot understand the problem. It can be referred that the participants are not at the desired level in problem-building skills. The PBL is effective on the achievement, attitude and permanence.
