Ortaokul öğrencilerinin okuma düzeylerinin seçilmiş bazı değişkenler bakımından incelenmesi ve öğretmen görüşleri (Tercan örneği)

Bu araştırma ile ortaokul öğrencilerinin okuduklarını anlama düzeylerini çeşitli değişkenler bakımından incelemek ve bu konuda öğretmen görüşlerini almak amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma Erzincan ili Tercan ilçe merkezinde ve köy-beldelerindeki 7 ortaokulda öğrenim gören 157'si 7. Sınıf, 169'u 8. Sınıf olmak üzere toplamda 326 öğrenciye ve 12 Türkçe öğretmenine uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Verilerin toplanmasında öğrencilere kişisel bilgi formu, anket ve başarı testi uygulanmış ve öğretmenlerle ise yüz yüze görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde verilerin frekans değerleri, standart sapmaları ve aritmetik ortalamaları hesaplanmıştır. Parametrik testlerden Bağımsız grup t-testi, Tek yönlü ANOVA; parametrik olmayan testlerden Mann Whitney U testi ve Kruskal Wallis H testi kullanılmıştır. Tek Yönlü ANOVA testlerinde anlamlı farklılıkların olduğu grupların belirlenmesi için Tukey testi, Kruskal Wallis H testlerindeki anlamlı farklılıkların olduğu grupların belirlenmesi için ise Mann Whitney U testi kullanılmıştır. Verilerin manidar olup olmadıkları .05 temel alınarak belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda cinsiyet, okul, sınıf, ilkokul ikamet yeri, ilkokulda sınıf öğretmeni değiştirme durumu gibi değişkenler ile öğrencilerin okuduklarını anlama düzeyleri arasında anlamlı farklılıklar tespit edilmiştir. Ancak anne eğitim durumu, baba eğitim durumu gibi değişkenler ile öğrencilerin okuduğunu anlama düzeyleri arasında ise anlamlı farklılıklar tespit edilememiştir. Öğretmenlerin geneli öğrencilerin okuduğunu anlama düzeylerinin yeterli olmadığını ve öğrencilerin okuduklarını anlama düzeylerini iyileştirmek adına farklı etkinlikler yaptıklarını belirtmiştirler.

With this research, it is aimed to examirese candary school students reading comprehension lives in terms of various veriables and these are achopplied in Erzincan province, Tercan districtand on students who educated in 7 schools in the village. 157 of these student sare 7th grade and 169 of these student sare 8th grade, in totaly there asearch is opplied to326 student sand 12 Turkish-language, tearchers.İt is wedreatioral screening model and reasearch. İn the collections of data, it is opplied personalin formation form, survey andachievement test to student sand face to face interwiews teachers. Frequency values, standard deviations and arithmetic mean of the data were calculated. Independent group t-test, One-way ANOVA; Mann Whitney U test and Kruskal Wallis H test were used. Tukey test was used to determine the groups with significant differences in one-way ANOVA tests, and Mann Whitney U test was used to determine the groups with significant differences in Kruskal Wallis H tests. The significance of the data was determined on the basis of .05. As a result of the study, significant differences were found between the variables such as gender, school, classroom, primary school place of residence, change of class teacher in elementary school, and the level of students' reading comprehension. However, significant differences were not found between the variables such as mother education, father's educational status and students' level of reading comprehension.Most of teachers think that students reanding comprehension levelisn'ten oughand it is determined that teachers make different activities to get better reading comprehension level.
