Veli ev ziyaretlerinin öğrenci ve öğretmenlerin davranışlarına etkileri: Bir durum çalışması

Bu çalışmanın amacı, MEB'e bağlı tüm eğitim kademelerinde gerçekleştirilen veli ev ziyaretlerinin, öğretmen ve öğrencilerin davranışlarına etkisini incelemek ve ortaya çıkarmaktır. Araştırma, Olgubilim deseninde nitel bir çalışma olarak tasarlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, gönüllük esasına dayalı olarak, 2020-2021 eğitim öğretim yılında Erzincan il sınırları içerisinde görev yapan 58 öğretmen ile bu okullarda öğrenim gören 110 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma, evrendeki her birimin örnekleme seçilme olasılığı eşit ve birbirinden bağımsız olduğu tesadüfi örnekleme modeliyle oluşturulmuştur. Veri toplama yöntemi olarak, açık uçlu görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Veriler, içerik analizi yöntemi ile dört adımda analiz edilmiştir. Verilerin kodlanması, kod-kategori ve temaların bulunması, kod-kategori ve temaların düzenlenmesi ve bulguların tanımlanması ve yorumlanmasıdır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, çalışmaya tüm yaş ve kıdem grubuna mensup öğretmenlerin katıldığı, çalışmaya katılan öğretmenlerin büyük bir kısmı birden fazla ev ziyareti gerçekleştirdiği tespit edilmiştir. Ev ziyaretleri sayesinde öğretmenlerin, öğrencilerin ve velilerin birbirlerini daha yakından tanıma fırsatı bulduğu ve taraflar arasında yakınlık kurulduğu anlaşılmıştır. Öğretmenlerin ev ziyaretlerinin önemini kavradığı ve ziyaretlerin belirli amaçlar doğrultusunda yapıldığı görülmüştür. Samimi bir sohbet havasında öğretmenlerini gözlemleyen öğrenciler, onları daha yakından tanıma fırsatı yakalamışlardır. Ev ziyaretlerinin ardından öğrenciler, derslerine karşı ilgi ve isteklerinde büyük artış olduğunu, öğretmenlerine karşı sevgi ve güvenlerinin arttığını ve ailesinin daha çok sürece dahil olduğunu belirtmişlerdir.

The aim of this study is to examine and reveal the effects of home visits of parents, carried out at all educational levels of the Ministry of National Education, on the behavior of teachers and students. The research was designed as a qualitative study in the Phenomenology pattern. The study group of the research consists of 58 teachers working in the province of Erzincan and 110 students studying in these schools in the 2020-2021 academic year, on a voluntary basis. The research was created with a random sampling model, in which each unit in the universe has an equal and independent sampling probability. An open-ended interview form was used as a data collection method. The data were analyzed in four steps with the content analysis method. According to the results of the research, it was determined that teachers from all age and seniority groups participated in the study, and most of the teachers who participated in the study made more than one home visit. Thanks to home visits, it was understood that teachers, students and parents had the opportunity to get to know each other better and a close relationship was established between the parties. It has been observed that teachers understand the importance of home visits and visits are made for specific purposes. The students, who observed their teachers in a friendly conversation atmosphere, had the opportunity to get to know them better. After the home visits, the students stated that their interest and desire towards their lessons increased, their love and trust towards their teachers increased, and their families were more involved in the process.
