Sosyal bilgiler dersinde verilen ev ödevleri hakkında öğretmen, öğrenci ve veli görüşleri

Bu araştırmanın amacı, sosyal bilgiler dersinde verilen ev ödevleri hakkında öğretmen, öğrenci ve veli görüşlerini tespit etmektir. Araştırma, nitel araştırma desenlerinden olgubilim (fenomoloji) çalışması olarak tasarlanmıştır. Amaçlı örnekleme türlerinden maksimum çeşitlilik örneklemesinin kullanıldığı araştırma örneklemini, 2021–2022 eğitim-öğretim yılında Batman ili merkez ortaokullarında görev yapan sosyal bilgiler öğretmenleri, bu okullarda öğrenim gören beşinci, altıncı ve yedinci sınıf öğrencileri ve bu öğrencilerin velileri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri, geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışmaları gerçekleştirilmiş olan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği ile toplanmıştır. Yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formlarından elde edilen nitel verilerin analizinde ise içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada öğrenci, öğretmen ve velilerin ev ödevlerini sorumluluk, akademik başarıyı arttıran çalışmalar, pekiştirmeler ve konu tekrarları şeklinde algıladıkları ve ev ödevlerini yararlı gördüğü ve verilmesi gerektiği fakat zaman zaman çeşitli sorunlarla da karşılaştıkları saptanmıştır. Öğretmenlerin genellikle ev ödevlerini çoktan seçmeli ve kitaptaki etkinlikler şeklinde verdiği fakat öğrenci ve velilerin öğretmenlerden ev ödevlerini verirken farklı etkinlik, yöntem ve teknikler şeklinde verilmesi gerektiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Öğretmenler uzaktan eğitimin yapıldığı dönemlerde ev ödevlerinin eğitim öğretim faaliyetlerini olumsuz etkilediğini düşünürken öğrenci ve veliler ise olumlu olduğunu düşünmektedir. The aim of this research is to determine the opinions of teachers, students and parents about the homework given in the Social Studies course. The research was designed as a phenomenology study, one of the qualitative research designs. The research sample, in which maximum diversity sampling, one of the purposive sampling types, was used, consists of Social Studies teachers working in Batman province secondary schools in the 2021-2022 academic year, fifth, sixth and seventh grade students studying in these schools, and the parents of these students. The data of the study were collected by semi-structured interview technique, whose validity and reliability studies were carried out. Content analysis method was used in the analysis of qualitative data obtained from semi-structured interview forms. In the study, it was determined that students, teachers and parents perceive homework as responsibility, studies that increase academic success, reinforcement and subject repetitions, and that they find homework useful and should be given, but they also encounter various problems from time to time. It has been concluded that teachers usually give homework in the form of multiple choice and activities in the book, but students and parents should be given different activities, methods and techniques when giving homework from teachers. While teachers think that homework affects educational activities negatively in the periods of distance education, students and parents think that it is positive.
