Kalkon ailesi, hücre döngüsü bozma, otofaji düzenleme, apoptoz indüksiyonu gibi birçok mekanizma yoluyla kansere karşı in vivo ve in vitro aktivite göstermektedir.

Aim: Chalcone compounds are compounds with 1,3-diaryl-2-propen-1-one structure, which have various biological activities, including anticancer activity. The chalcone family has shown activity against cancer through multiple mechanisms, including cell cycle disruption, autophagy regulation, apoptosis induction, and immunomodulatory properties. In the light of this information, it was aimed to investigate the anticancer activities of fluorine and methoxy- derived chalcones at different concentrations in A549, MCF7, HepG2 and HDFa cell lines. Material and Method: The effects of different concentrations of a series of synthesized fluorine and methoxy derivative chalcone compounds on cell viability on A549, MCF7, HepG2 and HDFa cell lines were determined using the MTT method, which is a colorimetric method. In the study, the active ingredient doxorubicin was also used as a positive control. Result: In line with the results obtained, it is seen that compound no. 7 significantly reduced viability in all cell lines. Compound 2 was found to be cytotoxic (IC50: 44.84.5 M) in the MCF-7 cell line, but it was observed that it did not have potent cytotoxic activity on A549 and HEPG2 cells. Conclusion: The anticancer effects of a series of synthesized fluorine and methoxy derivative chalcone compounds have not been studied before, and their effects on viability on different cells were investigated in this thesis. MTT method was applied and inhibitory concentration 50 (IC50) values of the compounds were obtained. With the publication of these data, it is expected to make a significant contribution to the current scientific knowledge.
