Halfeti (Şanlıurfa) ilçesinin kırsal coğrafyası

Yapılan bu yüksek lisans çalışması ile Halfeti ilçesinin kırsal yerleşme alanları nitel araştırma yöntemleri ile araştırılmış elde edilen bulgular nicel yöntemlerle desteklenmiştir. Araştırma alanında yerleşim yerlerinin doğal ve beşeri özellikleri coğrafi perspektif ile ele alınmıştır. Yöre insanının söylemleri ve resmi kurumlardan alınan bilgiler ile çıkarımlarda ve değerlendirmelerde bulunulmuştur. Çalışmanın giriş bölümünde, araştırma sahasının yeri, sınırları, coğrafi özellikleri, amacı, kapsamı ve kullanılan metotlar hakkındaki incelemeler ortaya konmuştur. İkinci bölümde fiziki coğrafya özellikleri olan jeolojisi, jeomorfolojisi, iklim özellikleri, hidrografik özellikler, toprak ve bitki örtüsü ile ilgili araştırma sonuçları incelenmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde kırsal coğrafyasının nüfus özellikleri (nüfus miktarı, yaş ve cinsiyet yapısı, doğum ve ölümler, göçler, nüfusun eğitim ve sağlık durumu, nüfus yoğunluğu ve aile nüfus sayısı büyüklüğü) nüfusun kültürel özellikleri, yerleşme özellikleri ve yerleşme şekilleri, yerleşmenin tarihi, kır ve şehir yerleşmelerinin ayırt edilmesi, kırsal nüfusun dağılışı, kırsal mahallelerdeki ekonomik yapı ve köy altı yerleşmelerine değinilmiştir. Dördüncü bölümde ekonomik coğrafya özellikleri ve yöredeki insanların ekonomik yapıları değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmanın hazırlanmasında yazılı kaynaklara, özellikle yerel sahada bulunan resmî kurumlardan alınan bilgi, belge ve istatistiki verilerden yararlanılmaya özen gösterilmiştir. Alan araştırmasında ise bolca gezi ve gözlem, görüşme ve anket uygulamalarına yer verilmiştir.

With this master's study, the rural settlement areas of Halfeti district were investigated with qualitative research methods and the findings were supported by quantitative methods. The natural and human characteristics of the settlements in the research area were discussed from a geographical perspective. Inferences and evaluations were made based on the discourses of the local people and the information received from official institutions. In the introduction part of the study, the location, borders, geographical features, purpose, scope and methods used of the research area are examined. In the second part, the research results on physical geography features such as geology, geomorphology, climate features, hydrographic features, soil and vegetation were examined.In the third chapter, population characteristics of rural geography (population amount, age and gender structure, births and deaths, migrations, education and health status of the population, population density and family population size), cultural characteristics of the population, settlement characteristics and settlement types, history of the settlement, rural and Distinguishing urban settlements, distribution of rural population, economic structure in rural neighborhoods and sub-village settlements are mentioned.In the fourth chapter, economic geography characteristics and the economic structures of the people in the region are evaluated. In preparing the study, care was taken to benefit from written sources, especially information, documents and statistical data obtained from official institutions in the local field. In the field research, many trips, observations, interviews and surveys were used.
