Adrenal Insufficiency

Özet

Adrenal insufficiency is a condition in which glucocorticoids,\rmineralocorticoids and adrenal androgens cannot be produced\rin sufficient quantities in the adrenal glands. Adrenal crisis can be\rdefined as an acute deterioration in a patient with adrenal insuf-\rficiency. When this life-threatening disease is considered, treat-\rment should be initiated without waiting for the results of\rconfirmation tests. In this review, the main causes, actual app-\rroaches and treatment regimens of adrenal insufficiency and\radrenal crisis are mentioned
