Elverici, Mert; Özkütük, Recep Sulhi; Karakaş Kılıç, Gizem; Kunt, Kadir Boğaç; Yağmur, Ersen Aydın
During our field studies aiming to determine the Harpacteinae fauna of Turkey, additional specimens of the species Harpactea erseni and H. pugio, previously described on males, were collected; detailed photographs of male and female reproductive organs constituting taxonomic characters are provided, descriptions were made and known locations for these species are shown on the map. H. erseni belongs to the rubicunda (D) group of the genus, by the male reproductive organs and some other characters. However, the newly described female reproductive organ bears resemblance with the lepida (C) group due to its completely sclerotized posterior spermatheca. This situation is discussed in the article. H. pugio is replaced in the rubicunda (D) group due to a membranous posterior diverticulum located on the posterior spermatheca of the female reproductive organ and other various taxonomic characteristics from the both sexes

Elverici, Mert; Özkütük, Recep Sulhi; Kılıç, Gizem; Kunt, Kadir Boğaç
With this study, the Vankeer’s funnel-web spider Tegenaria vankeerorum of the family Agelenidae is recorded for the first time from Turkey. T. vankeerorum has been sampled with both sexes from Muğla and Antalya provinces, located at the Aegean and Mediterranean regions of Turkey, which was originally described on single sex (male) from Rhodos Island of Greece in 2013. The characteristics of the species, descriptions of copulatory organs and photographs (female copulatory organ for the first time) are presented. Specimens from Turkey completely resemble the original description and the female copulation organ is unique with the structure of receptacula, it can be easily identified from the other members of the genus either from the World or Turkey.

Özkütük, Recep Sulhi; Marusik, Yuri M.; Kunt, Kadir Boğaç; Elverici, Mert
Two sibling species, Metellina orientalis (Spassky, 1932) and M. kirgisica (Bakhvalov, 1974), occurring in the Middle East and Central Asia are redescribed and their distributions mapped. The previously unknown male of M. kirgisica is described for the first time. Stridulatory files on male chelicera of Metellina are also documented for the first time. The occurrence of M. kirgisica in Azerbaijan and Tajikistan and the presence of M. orientalis in Turkey are confirmed.

Ribera, Carles; Elverici, Mert; Kunt, Kadir Boǧaç; Özkütük, Recep Sulhi
A new species of the troglobitic spider genus Typhlonesticus is described from specimens found in Keloǧlan Cave (Denizli Province, Dodurgalar Town), Turkey. Typhlonesticus gocmeni sp. n. is described on the basis of both sexes; and its phylogenetic relationships with closely related European genera and species are discussed based on morphological and molecular data (the cox1, rrnL and H3 genes). Three new combinations are proposed: Typhlonesticus idriacus (Roewer, 1931), comb. n., Typhlonesticus morisii (Brignoli, 1975) comb. n. and Typhlonesticus obcaecatus (Simon, 1907), comb. n. all ex Nesticus.
