Relative Fixation, Fastness and K/S Color Strength of CI Reactive Red 194 Dye on Cotton Fabric

In this study, dyeing of cotton according to exhaust methods with CI Reactive Red 194 bifunctional dye which has monoclortriazine and vinylsulfone reactive group in structure has been investigated at different dyeing conditions. Maximum exhaustion percent of dye on fiber has been determined by UVVis measurement of colored waste dye bath solutions. Dyed fabrics color have been measured by spectrophotometrically before and after washing and relative fixation percent calculated by using K/S color strength values. Finally, exhaustion, fixation and fastness results have been compared in the selected dyeing results by determining the washing and rubbing fastnesses
