Instructional Strategies, Methods and Techniques Preferred By Science Teachers: Thoughts of Science Teacher Candidates

The strategy, method and technique preferred by the teacher and the teacher are one of the most important factors in reaching the targeted success of a learning-teaching activity. The aim of this research is to determine what the strategies, methods and techniques that science teachers prefer at secondary level in school. For this, the opinions of the students who were educated in science teacher education were used as data. The structured form, which is one of the qualitative data collection techniques, was used to gathering the answers the students in writing. A total of 32 students' views registered in the science teacher's department were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, it was revealed that "expression" was the most preferred method among the strategies, methods and techniques preferred by science teachers and that some new techniques were started to be used by teachers
