Indoor football (astroturf football) is a popular sport, particularly among men. This study aims to develop a valid and reliable measurement tool to assess the attitudes of individuals playing indoor football. For this purpose, an item pool was initially created. During the development process, relevant literature was reviewed, observations were made of individuals playing indoor football, and expert opinions were consulted to formulate the statements. Based on expert feedback, necessary eliminations, mergers, and revisions were made to the item pool. The final 36-item form was administered to 491 participants, and the data were analyzed using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). Based on the EFA results, Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was conducted on the resulting structure. EFA results indicated a two-factor structure consisting of 18 items. The first factor, labeled "Interest," included 11 items, while the second factor, labeled "Discipline," comprised 7 items. These two factors together explained 59.139% of the total variance. The two-factor structure derived from the EFA was confirmed by the CFA. The CFA results indicated that the model met good and acceptable fit indices. Reliability analyses of the scale and its subdimensions were performed, and the stability coefficient was calculated. The internal consistency coefficients of the scale were.941 for the Interest dimension,.825 for the Discipline dimension, and.921 for the overall scale. The stability coefficients were.913 for Interest,.782 for Discipline, and.921 for the total score. As a result, a valid and reliable two-dimensional measurement tool was developed to assess the attitudes of individuals playing indoor football.
RDL Kalıcı Kaydıİncele - ArticleAçık Erişim2023THE EFFECT OF PRESERVICE TEACHERS' INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES COMPETENCIES ON ACADEMIC SELF-EFFICACY AND ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT
Bahar, Hüseyin Hüsnü; Öz, Recep; Kayalar, Murat Tolga
The purpose of this study was to measure the ICT competency levels and academic self-efficacy perception levels of preservice teachers and to determine if those levels were a significant predictor of their academic self-efficacy. For this purpose, the data were obtained from 411 volunteer students studying in the second, third, and fourth grades of the Teacher Training Undergraduate Programs at Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University Education Faculty. In total, 133 male and 278 female students participated in the study. As data collection tools, the Personal Information Form, the Information and Communication Technology Competencies Scale for Pre-service Teachers (ICTC-PT) developed by Tondeur et al. (2017) and adapted to Turkish language and culture by Alkan and Sarıkaya (2018) as well as the Academic Self-Efficacy Scale (ASES) developed by Kandemir (2010) were used. The Personal Information Form included information regarding department, grade, gender, and GPA. The reliability analyses of the scales were carried out, as well as multiple and stepwise regression analyses and descriptive statistics to address the research questions. As a result, it was determined that pre-service teachers' perception of ICT self-efficacy was at a high level. A moderate level of perception was observed in the sub-dimensions of ASE-CAP, ASE-AE, and ASE-APL among the participants. ICT-ID was found to be a significant predictor of ASE-CAP, but not of CSP-ICT. Although CSP-ICT was more closely related to general competencies, ICT-ID appeared to be more closely related to the skills required by the teaching profession. Based on the results of the study, the ASE-CAP, ASE-APL, and ICT sub-dimension scores were not significant predictors of GPA, whereas the ASE-AE score was a significant and positive predictor of GPA. It could be concluded from these findings that experiences and activities aimed at improving students' self-efficacy perceptions contributed positively to academic achievement in teacher training programs.

Bahar, Hüseyin Hüsnü; Uzunboylu, H
The purpose of present research is to detect whether gender and family, friend, perceived social support from someone special and sociometric status are meaningful predictors of academic success. 274 students enrolled in five different teacher training programs have participated in the research. In order to collect data, faculty records have been searched and besides "Multi Dimensional Perceived Social Support Scale" and "Sociometric Status" scales have been employed. It has been found out that gender, perceived familial support and sociometric status have predicted 15% of academic success. It has been concluded that perceived friend support and perceived social support from someone special do not predict academic success.

Okur, Muzaffer; Bahar, Hüseyin Hüsnü; Uzunboylu, H
The purpose of present research is to analyze academic success and dominant learning styles and trait anxiety states of Primary Education prospective mathematics teachers. The data have been collected from 168 students enrolled in Erzincan University, Faculty of Education, Primary Education Mathematics Teaching Department. Kolb Learning Style Inventory and Trait Anxiety Inventory have been employed as measurement tools. To answer research questions, besides descriptive statistics, Kruskal Wallis Test, Mann Whitney U Test and simple linear regression analysis techniques have also been employed. Obtained results have proved that dominant learning styles of Primary Education prospective mathematics teachers are mostly converger and assimilator learning styles; states of their academic success vary with respect to their learning styles; trait anxiety levels are not meaningful predictors of their academic success and the level of trait anxiety state does not change with respect to their learning style.
