FEMININ WRITING IN HÉLÈNE CIXOUS: DECONSTRUCTION OF “THE NAME OF OIDIPUS- THE SONG OF THE FORBIDDEN BODY” AND “PORTRAIT OF DORA
Özet
On the second half of the twentieth century, Hélène Cixous influenced the political and literary scene as a central figure of poststructural feminism and is at the heart of lots of literary and critical studies. Besides, she is not only an author of fictions, but as well essayist, critique and dramaturge. Hélène Cixous presents the feminine writing (écriture féminine), the desire feminine, the body language and expression as a model against the movement that poses the patriarchal structure and determines the language of the writing throughout the history in her works written in 70s. She deconstructs the phallus-oriented point of view of occidental thinking by using the image of Medusa in her work entitled “The Laugh of Medusa”. It is intended to do a deconstructionist lecture of the inscription of the feminine desire not only in the literary creation but also in feminine writing and language at Hélène Cixous’ works entitled “The Name of OidipusThe Song of the Forbidden Body” and “Portrait of Dora”. The aim is to criticise the patriarchal system under the hegemony of symbolic order, to apply the deconstruction technic developed by Jacques Derrida in Hélène Cixous’ works as a scientific approach. Main components of the subjectivity and feminine writing of Cixous are scrutinized under the themes of feminine writing, the dram of patriarchal subject, feminine subjectivity and deconstruction of mind/body dichotomy. The study includes the evaluation and the examination by a deconstructive lecture of the essays, theatres, texts and the fecund, rich and productive discourse of Cixous and to respond a series of question concerning the poetics, ethics, writing, language, body, hierarchical order in symbolic discourse and the sexual difference.
