Türketş, Cüneyt
Background: Metabolic processes in living organisms are closely related to the catalytic activity of enzymes. Changes in enzyme activity cause various diseases e.g., neurological, cancer, metabolic and cardiovascular. Most of the current therapeutic drugs available in clinical utilization function as enzyme inhibitors. Objective: The main goal of the current study to contribute to this growing drug design area (such as medication discovery and development) by investigating protein-drug interactions. Methods: The paraoxonase-I (PON1) enzyme was purified from human serum by using different and simple chromatographic techniques. Additionally, it was investigated inhibition effects of some chemotherapeutic drugs on the PON1. Results: The purification results for PON1 depicted a 3880.83 EU/mg proteins specific activity and the molecular weight was calculated as 43 kDa by sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. These drugs found to strongly inhibit PON1, with IC50 values ranging from 0.222T ± 0.002 to 688.300±0.897 μM. Ki constants for vincristine sulfate, epirubicin hydrochloride, and doxorubicin hydrochloride were determined to be 0.235±0.032 μM, 221.400±29.270 μM, and 913.300±201.000 μM, respectively. Conclusion: These drugs showed in competitive inhibition. Also, the molecular docking poses of these agents inside the catalytic sites of 1V04 and 3SRE were analysis.
- MakaleYalnız künye2019A Comparative Study of Laser Irradiation Versus Sandblasting in Improving the Bond Strength of Titanium Abutments
Ustun, Ozlem; Akar, Turker; Kirmali, Omer
Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of Er,Cr:YSGG laser irradiation with different energy powers versus sandblasting for enhancing the tensile bond strength (TBS) between titanium implant abutments (IAs) and resin cements. Background data: Clinical decementation of prosthetic restorations often occurs, particularly on short IAs. Increasing the bonding area on the IA surface can enhance the function and longevity of the superstructure. Materials and methods: Fifty dental IAs were used in solid form and randomly assigned to five groups (n = 10 each) for the following different pretreatments: control group was left untreated, a laser operating at 2.78 μm wavelength with different energy powers (1, 2, and 3 W) was used for three laser groups, and 50 μm alumina particles were applied to the abutment surface for the sandblasting group. Fifty metal substructures that had an occlusal metal O-ring were cast and cemented to all abutments using dual-cure resin cement. Test specimens were then subjected to thermal cycling. TBS tests were performed with a universal testing machine. The specimens' surface topography and roughness were evaluated with scanning electron microscope, and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) was used to measure the elemental profiles of each specimen. Data were analyzed using a one-way analysis of variance/Kruskal-Wallis test at a significance level of p < 0.05. Results: Surface treatments affected the surface roughness and TBS of the IA. The sandblasting group showed the highest bond strength values (510.77 ± 60.86 N) and followed by the 2 W group (279.07 ± 37.9 N). In EDS analysis, no elemental components other than titanium and oxygen were observed, except for in the sandblasting group. Conclusions: Sandblasting and 2 W laser treatment increased the surface roughness of the IA, which could contribute to the increased interfacial bond strength between the IA and resin cement.

Küpeli, İlke; Gülnahar, Yakup
Objective: The aim of the present study was to evaluate the analgesic efficacy of pre-emptive intravenous (iv) ibuprofen on pain during and after the mandibular third molar surgery. Methods: A total of 60 patients were included in the study. They were allocated as ibuprofen 800 mg iv+dexketoprofen 50 mg (group 1), ibuprofen 800 mg iv alone (group 2) or placebo (group 3). A local anaesthetic infiltration was administered to all patients. In all patients, haemodynamic values (mean arterial pressure (MAP) and heart rate (HR)) were recorded preoperatively, and infusions were started. State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) scale was used to assess anxiety states. Surgery started 15 min after the infusion. Haemodynamic values and pain scores with visual analogue scale (VAS) were recorded. Pain scores were recorded postoperatively at rest (VASR) and swallowing (VASS). Results: There was no significant difference in the preoperative STAI values between the groups (p>0.05). HR, MAP and VAS pain scores were significantly higher in group 3 than in groups 1 and 2 (p<0.05). VASR and VASS scores were significantly higher in group 3 than in group 1 in the first 4 h postoperatively (p<0.05). VASS scores were significantly higher in group 3 than in group 2 at 1-4 h postoperatively (p<0.05), but there was no difference in VASR and VASS scores at 48 h after surgery. Conclusion: Ibuprofen alone or in combination with dexketoprofen provided similar analgesia in the perioperative period when administered pre-emptively.

Colorectal cancer is one of the leading causes of death worldwide, and healthy diet is critical in preventing it. This study intends to investigate phenolic profile, antioxidant, and anti-proliferative activity as well as Glutathione S-transferase (GST) inhibition activity of water extract of Salvia fruticosa Mill. (SF.) HPLC analysis revealed that the main bioactive ingredients of SF were rosmarinic and caffeic acid. Total phenolic and flavonoid contents were 425.1 mg GAE/g extract and 94.7 mg CE/g extract, respectively. SF exhibited high antioxidant activity through DPPH and ABTS assays. The extract exhibited time and dose-dependent anti-proliferative activity on colorectal adenocarcinoma cell lines (Caco-2 and HT-29). The extract also inhibited GST activity in a mixed-type manner, with an IC 50 value of 6.8 µg/mL. To conclude, the results suggest that SF may be considered as a medicinal plant which can be used in theprevention and treatment of colon cancer, besides chemotherapy drugs.
- MakaleAçık Erişim2019Relationship between 18-FDG-PET/CT and clinicopathological features and pathological responses in patients with locally advanced breast cancers
Yildirim, Nilgun; Simsek, Melih; Aldemir, Mehmet Naci; Bilici, Mehmet; Tekin, Salim Basol
Objective: We investigated the relationship between the maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax) of whole-body positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) performed before treatment and the demographical and histopathological features in locally advanced breast cancer (LABC), as well as the role of PET/CT in the evaluation of pathological complete response (pCR) after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). Materials and Methods: Fifty-one LABC patients who received NAC in our center between 2011 and 2015 were retrospectively analyzed. Basal PET/CT was performed in all the patients before NAC. The SUVmax levels and demographical and histopathological results were compared. The relationship between the SUVmax values after NAC and pathological responses were evaluated. Results: The mean age of the patients was 49 (32-69) years. PET/CT performed after NAC showed complete response in 20 patients (39.2%), partial response in 28 patients (54.9%), stable disease in 2 patients (3.9%), and progressive disease in 1 patient (2%). There was no significant difference between the mean SUVmax values of the patients according to age (>50 and ≤50 years), menopausal status, tumor localization, clinical stage, and grade. The mean SUVmax value was higher in the triple-negative group than those in the HER2 positive and luminal groups. There was a significant difference in the SUVmax values between the group that achieved pCR after NAC and the group that could not achieve pCR (SUVmax value for breast 2.92 vs. 0.30; p=0.01; SUVmax value for axilla 1.5 vs. 0.0, p=0.02). Conclusion: The SUVmax values are independent of demographical features. There was a significant relationship between the pCR and SUVmax values after NAC. PET/CT could be useful in the evaluation of patients to predict the biological characteristics of tumors.

Jagan, J.; Dalkiliç., Yildirim; Samui, Pijush
The prediction of wastes generated in the hospital will help their management for several activities like storage, transport and disposing. This chapter adopts Support Vector Machine (SVM), Least Square Support Vector Machine (LSSVM) and Genetic Programming (GP) in order to estimate the rate of medical waste generation. In the event of predicting the rate, type of hospital, capacity and bed occupancy has been used as inputs of SVM, LSSVM and GP. SVM is based on statistical learning theory, which provides an elegant tool for nonlinear system modeling. LSSVM is the re-formulation to the general SVM. GP, a best part of evolutionary algorithm and also the specification of Genetic Algorithm (GA). These SVM, LSSVM and GP have been used as the regression techniques. The results show the performance of the developed SVM, LSSVM and GP models were elegant and outstanding.

Ciliz, Nilgün; Yildirim, Hacer; Temizel, Şila
Management of medical and hazardous wastes is a serious problem especially for developing countries. People are not aware of possible threats and/or they are afraid of the cost of application. Rapid population growth leads municipalities towards proper solid waste management applications. In this study, data were collected from the Turkish Statistical Institute and a general framework was drawn for medical and hazardous waste amounts and disposal methods. Starting from this point of view, the authors analyzed both the Regulation on Control of Hazardous Waste and the Regulation on Control of Medical Waste applied in Turkey. Taking into account all of these factors, this chapter is intended to develop the medical and hazardous waste management system economically and environmentally including waste generation, collection, transportation, disposal and treatment activities. Additionally, it investigates the reasons for lack of proper application of the regulations in light of the statistical data.

Aim: Glaucoma is an optic neuropathy causing progressive impairment of visual functions. We aimed to assess the alterations in thiol–disulfide homeostasis and serum ischemia modified albumin (IMA) levels, which are the determinants of antioxidant status, in patients with primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG). Material and Method: A total of 140 eyes from 70 patients with POAG and 174 eyes of 87 healthy, control cases were included in the study. All study participants underwent a complete ophthalmic evaluation. Alterations in serum thiol–disulfide homeostasis and IMA levels were measured in all participants. Results: IMA levels were significantly higher in glaucoma group (p:0.001). Native thiol, Total thiol and Native/Total thiol ratio were significantly decreased while Disulfide, Disulfide/Native thiol, and Disulfide/Total thiol ratios were significantly higher in glaucoma group (p:0.001). There was no significant difference regarding central corneal thickness (CCT), iridocorneal angle, albumin, IMA and adjusted IMA levels in patients with different stages of glaucoma. In correlation analysis, there was a negative correlation between Native thiol, Total thiol and Native/Total thiol ratio and disease period, number of daily drops required and stage of the disease in glaucoma patients. There was also a positive correlation between Disulfide, Disulfide/Native thiol and Disulfide/Total thiol levels and the disease activity. Conclusion: In patients with POAG, thiol–disulfide homeostasis is disturbed in the favor of pro-oxidant molecules and IMA levels are increased, indicating the presence of augmented oxidative stress. In that aspect, systemic and local anti-oxidant treatments may be new targets in glaucoma treatment. Larger, prospective studies about the role of anti-oxidants in prevention and treatment of POAG are warranted.

Background: Ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury results from the onset of re-circulation following a perfusion deterioration period in the tissues, resulting in more damage than that caused by perfusion deterioration. This study aimed to determine the effects of pycnogenol on I/R injury in rat brain tissues. Methods: Eighteen albino Wistar rats were divided into three groups: I/R injury (IR, n = 6) group; I/R injury + pycnogenol (IR + P, n = 6) group; and sham group (SG, n = 6). After 30 min of transient ischemia, 24 h of reperfusion was achieved in the IR and IR + P groups. Surgical dissection, except for transient ischemia, was performed in SG. Next, histopathological and biochemical investigations were performed on brain tissues. Malondialdehyde (MDA), reduced glutathione (GSH), and glutathione peroxidase (GPO) were analyzed as oxidative stress markers; IL-1β and TNF-α were analyzed as inflammatory stress markers in biochemical tests. Results: Histopathological examination revealed normal morphology in SG and diffuse cortex damage with edema, vasopathology, and inflammatory cell infiltration in the IR group. The IR + P group showed less cortex damage, edema, and vasopathology than the IR group. The MDA, IL-1β, and TNF-α levels were significantly higher in the IR group than those in the SG group. The values of same markers for the IR + P group were significantly lower than the IR group. The GSH and GPO levels were significantly decreased with IR damage, but PYC treatment showed significant improvement in the levels. Conclusion: This study showed that the administration of pycnogenol ameliorated brain damage after I/R injury by reducing oxidative and inflammatory damage in the rat brain.

Karavaş, Erdal; Karakeçili, Faruk
Background and objectives: In this study, we compare portal vein Doppler ultrasound (US) findings between patients with Crimean–Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) and healthy persons and investigate the practicability of these findings in the prediction of disease severity. Materials and Methods: In this prospective study, portal vein Doppler US was performed in patients diagnosed with CCHF and healthy persons between March 2016 and May 2018. The patients were grouped according to mild-to-moderate and severe progression of CCHF. Liver size, portal vein diameter, portal vein flow rate, spleen volume, and splenic vein diameter were recorded in the patients and healthy controls. Results: Of the 48 patients diagnosed with CCHF, 25 were male. According to the scoring made, 38 patients were evaluated as having mild-to-moderate disease progression, and 10 were evaluated as having severe disease progression. With respect to the Doppler US findings, liver size, spleen volume, portal vein diameter, splenic vein diameter, and portal vein flow rate were significantly higher in the patient group compared with the controls. However, no significant difference was found in these parameters between the severe and mild-to-moderate progression groups. Conclusions: In the evaluation of and follow-up with patients with CCHF, portal vein Doppler US is a non-invasive and reliable tool for diagnosis.
- MakaleAçık Erişim2019Development of a new instrument for assessing dissociation in the net: The van online dissociative experiences schedule (VODES); [İnternette disosiyasyonun değerlendirilebilmesi İçin geliştirilen yeni bir ölçme aracı: Van çevrimiçi disosiyatif yaşantılar ölçeği]
Boysan, Murat; Eşkisu, Mustafa; Çam, Zekeriya
Objective: Most of the theoretical models of addictive behaviors of Internet use based on the social cognitive model and suggested that Internet addiction is associated with a deficit in self-monitoring and self-regulation. On the other hand, researches have consistently reported associations between addictive Internet behaviors and a tendency to dissociate in clinical and non-clinical samples. Given the accumulating evidence in the literature, dissociative experiences may be a predisposing factor in the formation and perseverance of maladaptive use of the Internet. Within this context, the present study introduces a new psychometric instrument, the Van Online Dissociative Experiences Schedule (VODES), designed to assess online dissociative experiences. Method: Seven hundred eighteen undergraduates (71.7% were female) volunteered to participate in the study. The mean age of the sample was 20.69 (SD ± 2.14). Participants completed the Van Online Dissociative Experiences Schedule (VODES) and Chen Internet Addiction Scale (CIAS). Results: The result of principal components analysis showed that the four-factor (Identity confusion, Escapism/Detachment, Impairment in reality monitoring/Absorption, and Losing the sense of reality) solution explained 60.34% of the variance. Confirmatory factor analysis demonstrated that the four-factor model excellently fit data, and all items of the VODES loaded strongly (0.53 to 0.86) onto the respective latent factors. Moreover, VODES had excellent internal reliability (αs= 0.93 to 0.98) and test-retest reliability (r= 0.79 to 0.90). In addition, all four dimensions of the VODES were strongly associated with the addictive use of Internet. Conclusions: This study showed that VODES is a promising and sound measure of online dissociation.
- MakaleYalnız künye2019Antidiabetic properties of dietary phenolic compounds: Inhibition effects on α-amylase, aldose reductase, and α-glycosidase
Demir, Yeliz; Durmaz, Lokman; Taslimi, Parham; Gulçin, İlhami
Aldose reductase (AR), α-amylase, and α-glycosidase are vital enzymes to prevent diabetic complications. Here, AR was purified from sheep kidney using elementary methods with 111.11-purification fold and with 0.85% purification yield. The interactions between some phenolic compounds and the AR, α-glycosidase, and α-amylase enzyme were determined. It was found that phenolic compounds exhibit potential inhibitor properties for these enzymes. For α-amylase, studied phenolic compounds showed IC50 values in the range of 601.56–2,067.78 nM. For α-glycosidase, Ki values were found in the range of 169.25 ± 27.22–572.88 ± 106.76 nM. For AR, Ki values in the range of 8.48 ± 0.56–43.26 ± 7.63 µM. However, genistein showed the best inhibition effect toward AR and α-glycosidase, but delphinidin chloride exhibited the best inhibition effect against α-amylase enzyme. We determined that all compounds showed noncompetitive inhibition effect against AR and α-glycosidase. Also, studied phenolic compounds may be useful in the prevention or treatment of diabetic complications.

Purpose: To establish a normative database for macular and peripapillary vessel densities (VD) and foveal avascular zone (FAZ) metrics in healthy subjects with the new version of AngioScan software of RS-3000 Advance (Nidek Co, Ltd) optical coherence tomography angiography (OCT-A) device. Methods: The study design was prospective and cross-sectional. VDs of the SCP, deep capillary plexus (DCP), retinal peripapillary capillary plexus (RPCP) and FAZ area, perimeter and circularity index (CI) along with the structural OCT measurements were scanned by using the Nidek’s RS-3000 Advance OCT-A device in healthy subjects. The new version of the AngioScan software was used for analytics. The relations between the OCT-A parameters with age, gender and OCT parameters were analyzed. Results: A total of 128 right eyes of 128 subjects (50% female) were included in this study. We divided subjects into 3 groups in accordance with age; 19–39 years to Group 1, 40–59 years to Group 2, >60 y. to Group 3. The mean SCP and DCP VDs were 41.25 ± 2.51% and 36.01 ± 5.07% respectively (P < .001). The DCP VD was significantly different between groups (P = .001). The mean FAZ area, perimeter and CI were 0.33 ± 0.12 mm2, 2.68 ± 0.6 mm and 0.47 ± 0.09 respectively. Only FAZ CI significantly differed between groups (P = .003). The FAZ area was significantly greater in female subjects than males (P = .025). The SCP and DCP VDs were inversely correlated with FAZ area and perimeter (P < .05). Conclusion: Our study provided for the first time the normative data of the recently updated AngioScan software of Nidek. Additional studies are needed to define pathological vascular changes in ocular and systemic diseases with this new software.
- MakaleAçık Erişim2019Excision and short segment fusion of a double ipsilateral lumbar hemivertebrae associated with a diastematomyelia and fixed pelvic obliquity
Senkoylu, Alpaslan; Cetinkaya, Mehmet; Aktas, Erdem; Cetin, Engin
We report the surgical treatment course of a 4-year-old girl with congenital scoliosis, diastematomyelia and double adjacent hemivertebrae. She had a lumbar curve with an apparent pelvic obliquity. Simultaneous excision of double segmented sequential hemivertebra at the L3–L4 level and fusion with short-segment instrumentation was performed via a posterior approach. Intraoperative radiographs revealed satisfactory curve correction and 0° pelvic obliquity. Following the excision of double adjacent hemivertebrae, three adjacent nerve roots were placed in one intervertebral foramen bilaterally. Nevertheless, no neurological deficit was developed, and the patient was able to ambulate with a brace at day one. Pelvic balance and deformity correction were maintained with no implant failure at the fifth year follow-up. Excision of two ipsilateral adjacent hemivertebra and short-segment posterior fusion performed via posterior-only approach simultaneously is an effective, safe, and less invasive technique for the treatment of the described case.
- MakaleYalnız künye2019Predictive Factors for Rathke's Cleft Cyst Consistency
Ozoner, B.; Aydin, Seckin; Akgun, Mehmet Yigit; Durmaz, Emine Sebnem; Sahin, Serdar; Gazioglu, Nurperi; Kizilkilic, O.; Kadioglu, P.; Tanriover, Necmettin
Objective: Rathke's cleft cysts (RCCs) may have various anatomic, clinical, and radiologic characteristics, which may be related to their differences in texture or consistency. The purpose of the study was to investigate RCCs based on consistency. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 25 cases of patients with RCCs who underwent endoscopic endonasal transsphenoidal surgery between 2008 and 2018. Cases were divided into 3 types based on cyst consistency: fluid (serous) or type A (n = 4); semi-fluid (mucoid) or type B (n = 17); and non-fluid (caseous) or type C (n = 4). Demographic, clinical, radiologic, and surgical characteristics for each group were analyzed. Results: All type A RCCs (100%) had visual impairment. The mean age (42.8 ± 13 years) and cyst volume (2442.5 ± 533.6 mm3) were higher in these patients. T1-weighted images were hypointense and T2-weighted images were hyperintense on magnetic resonance imaging. Type B RCCs were more frequently encountered (68%). Although headache was the most common (82.3%) symptom, endocrine disorders were also prevalent (52.9%). T1-weighted images were typically isointense or hyperintense on magnetic resonance imaging. Type C RCCs had the youngest patient population (30.3 ± 10.2 years) and T2-weighted images were predominantly hypointense in this group. Conclusions: The proposed novel consistency classification of RCCs will provide a practical tool for more accurately estimating the nature of the pathology, because each type has its own specific characteristics. Furthermore, the new classification of RCCs may aid in planning a consistency-specific surgery.

The phenolic contents and antioxidant, anticancer, antidiabetic, and anticholinergic potentials of four endemic Gysophila taxa (G. pallida, G. arrosti, G. tuberculosa, and G. eriocalyx) were investigated. The HPLC analysis showed that methanol extracts of all the tested species were richer in phenolics than water extracts. 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid, p-hydroxybenzoic acid, vanillin, syringic acid, and p-coumaric acid were detected in all extracts. In parallel to the phenolic contents, methanol extracts displayed comparatively higher antioxidant activity than water extracts. Additionally, all extracts exhibited dose-dependent antiproliferative activity on the cancer cell lines with lower IC50 values changing from 0.170 to 1.805 mg/ml. Moreover, the extracts impressively inhibited the acetylcholinesterase (0.63–26.04), butyrylcholinesterase (3.66–10.73), and α-glycosidase (98.52–235.55) enzymes with very low IC50 (mg/ml) values. Together, the present results indicate that Gysophila taxa have various biological activities together with higher phenolic contents. Hence, these species hold good potential for use in the pharmaceutical industry. Practical applications: Gypsophila taxa having numerous biological activities have been used for different purpose in folk medicine as well as their use in the food industry. The obtained results of the current study indicated that the extracts of Gypsophila taxa are rich in phenolics and flavonoids with powerful antioxidant and antiproliferative activity against different type of cancer cell lines. In addition, the extracts obtained from these taxa showed notable antidiabetic and anticholinergics effects. Gypsophila taxa could be used as a natural material to develop anticancer, antidiabetic, and anticholinergic drugs.

Kayacı, Selim; Cakir, Tayfun; Dolgun, Muge; Cakir, Ertugrul; Bozok, Şahin; Temiz, Cüneyt; Caglar, Yusuf Sukru
Purpose: Aortic injury by pedicle screw is rare but can cause serious complications. It has not been clearly determined when aortic repair is necessary in cases of screw impingement without perforation of the aortic wall. In this article, we review the treatment and clinical course of pedicle screw aortic impingement and attempt to clarify this issue. Methods: Cases of aortic injury during thoracic screw procedures were found using a MEDLINE search and analyzed together with 3 new cases that we present. Results: Nineteen cases collected from the literature and 3 new cases were included in the study. In 7 of the cases, aortic impingement by the pedicle screw was detected during postoperative follow-up (day 1) radiologic examinations. In the other cases, time to presentation of aortic impingement ranged between 2 weeks and 60 months after fixation. The main indications for thoracic spinal fixation were post-traumatic vertebral fracture and kyphoscoliosis/scoliosis. Repair of the aortic damage ranged from primary repair to stent and tube graft placement by the thoracic endovascular aortic repair method. Conclusions: In cases in which the screw impinges less than 5 mm into the aortic wall, hardware revision without aortic repair may be sufficient if recognized early and there are no sign of aortic leakage in vascular imaging. However, cases with more than 5 mm of screw impingement should undergo aortic repair first, even in the absence of aortic leakage, following by screw revision.

Acetaminophen and gemfibrozil are two pharmaceutically active agents that are commonly used in treatments. This study investigated the effects of these two substances on three wheat varieties “Ahmetağa”, “Cemre” and “Michelangelo”. Seeds are sown in petri dishes and treated with different concentrations (25, 50 and 100 µg/mL) of both substances. At the end of 5 days, root and stem developments were compared to the control groups. Then, planting pots were prepared by mixing 650 g soil with different concentrations (50, 100 and 250 mg) of gemfibrozil and acetaminophen. 7 g wheat seeds from each variety were planted on mixture and covered with 100 g soil. Plants were watered with regular intervals based on the field capacity calculation and harvested for analysis at the end of 15 days. After extraction procedure, the electrolyte leakage, and antioxidant enzyme activities for superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POX) and catalase (CAT) were measured. Results were statistically evaluated at 95% confidence interval based on the Duncan’s Multiple Range Test and significant differences were found. The findings demonstrated that acetaminophen and gemfibrozil treatments, in relation to the applied concentrations, retarded the root and stem developments in seeds, and increased the electrolyte leakage and antioxidant enzyme activities in plants, indicating that contamination of agricultural lands and irrigation waters by those kind of substances could cause the serious crops losses and health issues. Thus, legal arrangements should be prioritized regarding the use and disposal of these substances to minimize the environmental impacts.
