This study aims to adapt SABR-2.2 to the Turkish language and culture. The tool was developed to evaluate the quality of preschool teachers' book-reading activities with children. The adaptation of the SABR-2.2 was conducted in line with the theoretical and practical models and criteria. A total of 150 volunteer preschool teachers employed in preschools and kindergartens in Ankara participated in the study. According to the results, the factor loadings for 11 items ranged from .40 to .83, accounted for 46% of the total variance, and indicated a unidimensional structure. The goodness-of-fit indices obtained from the confirmatory analyses (chi 2/df indicated an acceptable to good level of model-data fit. For the 11-item scale, Cronbach's alpha was .81, and McDonald's omega was .90. These values indicate that the scale works with high internal consistency. In addition, the total scores obtained from the scale seem to provide high discrimination between the lower and upper groups. In line with these findings, the scale is considered a valid and reliable instrument for evaluating teachers' book reading practices in the Turkish culture.

Türkeli, Anıl; İnci, Nazlı Can
This study aims to examine the levels of cognitive flexibility and creativity among individual and team athletes in relation to various variables and to determine the relationship between these two concepts. A correlational survey model was employed, and the study group consisted of 583 athletes (274 women, 309 men) who had been actively participating in different sports branches for at least three years. Data were collected using the Personal Information Form, the Athlete Cognitive Flexibility Inventory, and the Creativity Scale for Athletes. Descriptive statistics, independent samples t-test, Pearson correlation, and regression analyses were used in the analysis process. The findings revealed no significant differences in cognitive flexibility or creativity levels based on gender. Team athletes scored higher on the control sub-dimension of cognitive flexibility. Additionally, national athletes and those who engaged in mental training demonstrated higher scores in certain sub-dimensions of cognitive flexibility as well as in creativity, with small to moderate effect sizes (Cohen’s d= 0.18–0.32). Both age and sporting age showed positive correlations with cognitive flexibility and creativity, indicating that increased experience contributes to the development of these abilities. Weekly training frequency, however, was significantly related only to creativity levels. Furthermore, a strong and positive correlation was found between cognitive flexibility and creativity, suggesting that athletes with greater cognitive adaptability tend to produce more creative responses in sport-related contexts (r= .66, p< .001; R²= .436). Overall, the study concludes that cognitive flexibility and creativity are closely interconnected and influenced by factors such as athletic level, engagement in mental training, and experience in sport.

Ayaydin, Harun; Ertane Baydar, Arzu Sema
Yilmaz, Nusrettin
Bu çalışma, sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının Din Kültürü ve Ahlak Bilgisi (DKAB) öğretimine ilişkin öz yeterlik inançlarını incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bandura'nın (1997) Sosyal Bilişsel Kuramı çerçevesinde yürütülen bu nitel araştırmada, görüngübilim deseni kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubunu, bir devlet üniversitesinin Eğitim Fakültesi Sınıf Öğretmenliği Programı dördüncü sınıfında öğrenim gören 24’ü kadın ve 8’i erkek olmak üzere toplam 32 öğretmen adayı oluşturmuştur. Veriler, alanyazın incelemesi ve uzman görüşleri doğrultusunda geliştirilen yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu aracılığıyla toplanmış ve içerik analizi yöntemiyle çözümlenmiştir. Analiz sonucunda bulgular; olumlu öz yeterlik inancı, olumsuz öz yeterlik inancı, bu inançların nedenleri ve geliştirme önerileri temaları altında kategorize edilmiştir. Araştırma bulguları, adayların öz yeterlik inançlarının karmaşık ve ikili bir yapı sergilediğini ortaya koymuştur. Katılımcıların büyük bir bölümü (n=21) kendilerini genel olarak yeterli hissettiklerini belirtmiş, fakültede aldıkları eğitimin olumlu katkısını vurgulamış (n=24) ve özellikle somut konuları (örneğin, Hz. Muhammed'in hayatı; n=26) öğretme, bilgi aktarımı (n=26) ve davranış geliştirici etkinlikler hazırlama (n=23) konularında yüksek öz yeterlik algısına sahip olduklarını ifade etmiştir.
RDL Kalıcı Kaydıİncele - ArticleYalnız künye2026Exploring Different Types of Career Anxiety Among Young Adults: A Latent Profile Analysis
Ciminli, Alaattin; Aydin, Burak
This study aimed to identify distinct latent profiles of career anxiety among young adults and to examine the predictors of membership in these profiles by relating them to various factors, including academic unit and year of study. The data were collected from a sample of 509 young adults enrolled at universities in Türkiye, comprising 409 females (80.4%) and 100 males (19.6%). The instruments used for data collection included a personal information form, Career Anxiety Scale, Hope Scale, Perceived Social Support Scale, Perfectionism Scale, and the Coping Self-Efficacy Scale. Latent profile analysis (LPA) was employed to identify latent profiles, while multinomial logistic regression (R3STEP) analysis was conducted to examine the relationships between latent profile membership and sociodemographic variables. The results of the LPA revealed three distinct latent profiles: high anxiety and vulnerable (Profile 1), low anxiety and high psychosocial strength (Profile 2), and moderate group (Profile 3). The findings indicated that when Profile 1 was used as the reference group, academic unit type and class level did not significantly predict membership in Profile 2. However, vocational school status significantly predicted membership in Profile 3. When Profile 2 was used as the reference group, it was observed that both vocational school students and fourth-year students were significantly less likely to be members of Profile 3.

Durmus, Ceyda; Guvelioglu, Elif
This exploratory qualitative study examines how pre-service early childhood education (ECE) teachers in Türkiye engage with museums as informal learning environments. Twenty-nine undergraduates completed a course-embedded museum visit and submitted reflective writings. Inductive content analysis yielded four key themes regarding how novice teachers negotiate professional identity: (1) navigating a duality between personal past experiences and professional vision; (2) prioritizing risk assessment where physical and emotional safety served as a prerequisite for pedagogical engagement; (3) hacking the museum through active gamification to counter static displays; and (4) critically auditing infrastructure, moving beyond content to evaluate accessibility and inclusivity. Findings suggest that for digital native teachers, museums are high-stakes simulation spaces. The study supports embedding risk-mitigation strategies and open-ended creative tasks into teacher preparation to foster confidence in museums.
RDL Kalıcı Kaydıİncele - ArticleYalnız künye2026Supporting Preschool Children’s Self-Regulation Skills with Dialogic Book Reading
Ezmeci, Fulya; Parpucu, Nurbanu; Uzuner Yurt, Serap
The study examined the effect of a professional development program concerning dialogic book reading (DBR) on preschool children’s self-regulation skills. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with pretests and posttests. Fourteen preschool teachers and 206 children participated in the study. The DBR intervention was tailored to self-regulation by selecting books addressing self-regulation skills and employing DBR strategies focused on self-regulation, making DBR the primary active ingredient influencing children’s self-regulation outcomes. The program was implemented through training sessions and classroom observation, utilizing coaching and scaffolding techniques. Children in the DBR-focused group showed significant gains in self-regulation, whereas no improvements were observed in the group using the same books with traditional reading and in the business-as-usual control group. Research Findings: The study showed that children’s self-regulation skills are unlikely to improve without DBR. Significant improvements were observed in attention and impulse-control skills. By supporting teachers’ understanding and implementation of DBR strategies, the professional development program contributed to improvements in children’s self-regulation abilities. Practice or Policy: These findings highlight the need for integrating DBR coaching into routine teacher training, as equipping teachers with interactive reading strategies–rather than simply providing self-regulation-themed books–may support more consistent promotion of children’s self-regulation in preschool classrooms.

Altıparmak Cengiz, Nida; Yiğit, Nur Banu; Güvelioğlu, Elif; Tantekin Erden, Feyza
The United States (US) and the United Kingdom (UK) exhibit significant cultural and linguistic diversity. Research conducted in Europe and the US highlights how diversity creates complex teaching environments, often leaving educators insufficiently prepared. Consequently, teacher education has become a paramount area of focus but remains under-investigated within diversity-related contexts. This study analyzes early childhood education (ECE) teacher preparation in the US and UK to evaluate prospects for culturally responsive teaching. Using document analysis, ECE teacher education programs across 18 universities were examined, focusing on diversity in course titles, objectives, and content along with practical strategies for teaching in multicultural environments. Findings showed that, while diversity and inclusion were highlighted in module titles and policy frameworks, practical application often prioritized special education over cultural diversity. Modules specifically addressing migration-related issues were limited, and despite an emphasis on family and community engagement, gaps persisted in preparing teachers to support cultural diversity. Practical teaching experiences in diverse settings were identified as essential for developing culturally responsive practices. It is recommended that integrating comprehensive, mandatory modules on multicultural and multilingual education, alongside practical components, to better equip educators for diverse ECE environments.
RDL Kalıcı Kaydıİncele - ArticleYalnız künye2026A note on uniformly pr-submodules
Alhazmy, Khaled; Uregen, Rabia Nagehan; Bouba, El Mehdi; Koç, Suat
Let M be a nonzero unital module over a commutative ring R with a nonzero identity. A proper submodule N of M is said to be a uniformly pr-submodule if there exists a fixed n ∈ ℕ such that whenever am ∈ N with ann(m) = 0 for some a ∈ R and m ∈ M, then an ∈ (N: M). Indeed, uniformly pr-submodules are the extension of uniformly pr-ideals to modules in the sense of R. N. Uregen (2019). In addition to giving fundamental properties of uniformly pr-submodules, we also examine the relations between uniformly pr-submodules and other classical submodules such as uniformly primary submodules, r-submodules, sr-submodules and pr-submodules. Furthermore, we characterize some important classes of rings/modules such as total quotient rings and simple modules in terms of our new concept.

Gönülal, Talip; Güçlü, Ramazan; Güçlü, Salih
This exploratory study investigated the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) tools on academic publishing for non-native English-speaking researchers. Through a mixed-methods convergent parallel design, it examined how these scholars utilize AI tools, their perceived benefits, and concerns regarding AI's influence on academic publishing. Data were collected from 105 non-native English-speaking academics coming from 25 language backgrounds. Participants primarily employed AI tools for grammar improvement, writing style enhancement, and translation, while maintaining control over higher-level intellectual tasks such as organizing manuscripts. Three key dimensions of the perceived impact of AI were identified in this study: the good, reducing linguistic inequalities by improving paper quality and decreasing language-related challenges; the bad, involving inaccurate or misleading AI suggestions, over-reliance on AI tools, and diminished engagement with manuscripts; and the ugly, characterized by failure to disclose AI use, lack of clear guidelines for responsible AI integration in research, homogenization of academic writing, and the emergence of new forms of inequality. The study concluded with several recommendations for individual researchers, academic institutions, and publishers and journals to promote the ethical and effective use of AI in academic publishing.
